An Interesting Comment I Thought You Might Be Interested In

Rev. James Bailey has left a new comment on your post "Obama School Children Indoctrination":

Adolf Hitler had his youth groups that were educated to be patriotic and supportive of their government. President Obama also has this right and needs to educate American youth and not let prejudice from parents be a handicap to their personal development. Obama is the most capable president that America has had. He is a visionary and will lead the world to the greatest heights that can be mastered. Those who support and live by his creed will survive and experience happiness as all wealth is shared equally. It is ignorant and uneducated parents who are a handicap to their children. All teachers will receive full checks and benefits because they are our most important asset. Other people should feel obligated to sacrifice for those responsible for the future of our children and the American Obama dream.

Don't know who this Baily dude is but I do know one thing he has lost his mind. He must be one of them reformed freaks that thinks we owe someone else a free living. He is living in his Peter Pan world if he thinks for a minute that we should support freeloaders. He also should go back to Bible school and see what the Bible actually says about these people who will not work! The only one ignorant here is Bailey himself.

This person is either very whacked, or very good at satire.

Wealth shared equally? Why even bother going to school? Sit back and share the wealth is my knew motto.

You are kidding right? Socialist take note, Hitlers Germany? Stalin's Soviet Union? They worked great, I am so excited that my President is not learning from history. For God sake learn from all the others mistakes.

IT DOESN'T WORK! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU SOCIALISTS?

Man of God, huh. I aint crazy.

Message to Rev Bailey -

I dont force religion on anyone so dont agree that politics should be forced on any one - especially children!

Anonymous said...

Are you kidding me?! This is the start of brainwashing our youths to pledge allegiance to a single person? Isn't this what hitler (Not capitalized for a reason)did? This is what hitler did and the Reverend knows it. This is what Hussein is trying to do and it is absolutely wrong. This is unprecedented for a president to do the things he has done and continuing to try to do. This is still only the beginning.

This comment, if real and not submitted sarcastically, is what will drive this country to a civil war.

We are entering dangerous ground with this president.

I pray that freedom loving Americans register to vote and if they have children, educate them in a private school.

I'd like to comment on this - but after reading it several times, I am just speechless. thats all I can say.

Funny how this racist uses the word prejudice as he prejudges parents who are concerned for the children s well being .

Lead the blacks to the top, where they want to be and dont realize they are already there. Then we can all have cities like DC... Detroit, Atlanta... Those leaders are all doing such great jobs.

NOT!

Yes Reverend, and look what Adolf Hitler turned out to be. I do support the President as I am an American. I do NOT agree with most of his tactics. Well, you call us ignorant, I say your an idiot for believing him. Change? I have yet to see any good change, just more animosity, this is just in the congressional house. I do sacrifice for my children every day and DO NOT appreciate you saying I do not sacrifice for my children. He is a visionary, I agree, all Muslims are visionaries. That's the scary part. This is a nation built on Christianity and Mr. President is trying to undermind this. My child WILL NOT watch the Obama School Children Indocrination. Why does he feel he has the right to tell my child how to grow up? Dammit, that's my job. I DO NOT need his help. Think about this........Do you think he would sit down and listen to my Phil's Obama Presidency Indocrination? No, he would not. Mr. Obama's approval ratings are at an all time low. I wonder if this is because the American people have realized the mistake they made. I still support McCain.

Oh yeah, Reverend Bailey. Please write me a check for half of what you make. Let's say I am non-working, never have been and have been leaching off the system for years. And like living this way. You give me half of what you make, I'll give you have of what I make. :D I do not want to share equally what I have worked my tail off for. I have a family of four, I can't afford it.

As soon as I read Rev. Bailey's piece, I knew that the intelligent commentors that you have would all be coming out of the woodwork. Thank goodness--but how sad, only one--3:51 recognized the possibility of satire. How many of your readership have studied satire? Good grief!

just simply amazes me at how stupid black people really are. and yes mr bailey is black. if obama asked them to drink the kool aid they would. if any black does not stick up for obama he is immediately castigated by the rest as a sell out! the demoncrazies have been selling them kool aid for years and have things gotten any better for them?
free everything and they still remain at the bottom rungs of society. obama is not the answer to their problems, but then they would have to face up to the fact it is actually their own self destructive behavior and poor lifestyle choices that have doomed them to their fates!
it is always easier to blame whitey for all their problems. But I have noticed one thing, seem's most of the blacks who immigrate here from other countires don't seem to have this same entitlement mentality! An education is a marvelous thing, get one!

Hitler said " if you treat a man like a dog , in time , he will act like one". Obama is the right hand
of satan!

Anonymous said...

11:29 - You are the right hand of Satan!

Anonymous said...

I totally agree with anonymous 11:28. Obama is not the answer to the black society. The blacks always blame the whites for thier problems. The truth is that the blacks have been given every opportunity to better themselves and have chosen not to do so. If they want a non-racial society then they have to be non-racist themselves.

I think you are generalizing the black race a little bit to much. I have black neighbors and black friends and they are no differant then me, trying to get by and take care of the people they are responsible for. Gen-Pop is filled with all colors of people who value nothing.

Anonymous said...

It's not the Color, it's the Mentality of this "gimme for free" generation. I have many wonderful black, latino and asian friends who are just as frustrated with those that expect something for nothing! It's not a race card anymore.....it's a LAZY streak that's passed from one generation to the next.

You know, I have tried to shy away from this controversy, as I am a Conservative, and I know that my political views are not welcome when it comes to the Anointed One's policies. However, I think that it is not the SPEECH per se that is the problem, it is the lesson plans surrounding the speech that have raised the eyebrows of those that do not agree with the President's policies. By encouraging young students to "help the president", the current administration is, by its nature, attempting to indoctrinate the youth. Comparing this speech to JFK's "ask not" inagural is incongruous, as he was not specifically targeting young students. He specifically was talking to older people who had fully formed political and social ideas.

It is the role of the parent to explain patriotism and social responsibility and accountability to the child, not the state's. As a responsible, free thinking individual, I would access the speech online on Monday, and read the text. Then, I would make the decision to send my child to school or not. I would certainly be having a conversation with my child about social responsibility and accountability and the nature of patriotism.

To blindly follow one ideology or another is to be the classic textbook case of a Kool-Aid drinker, and we should be encouraging our youth to think and decide for themselves what they choose to do with their lives.

Finally, I would hope that Rev. Bailey's comments are satirical, as I would hate to know that a man of the cloth so blindly follows the President. If it is not satirical, I would be afraid of this minister, as they would appear to be in the same extremist vein as Jerimiah Wright and others, and, in my opinion, do not deserve to be called men of the cloth.

What do they call a black man in the white house?

Anonymous said...

He obviously drank the Kool-Aid.

Anonymous said...

K. Groves, I'm not a conservative, but I appreciate your sane discussion and certainly understand you point of view.

The Reverend's opening sentence set the tone for the rest. I believe it's satire.

But look at the reaction here. That is scary to me.

I don't know what's in Obama's speech. If there is anything partisan, it should be cut.

But it is curious to me that so many people opposing this are the same people who lamented the loss of patriotism among our young. Who got upset that children -- yes, children -- were not taught respect for office of the President (they said because Bush was in it).

Every President brings some form of change. With Obama came an American Dream story of "you, too, can grow up to be President." Obama campaigned on creating a greater spirit of service to the country, young and old.

Come to think of it, that's part of how Ronald Reagan rallied the country, too.

When I saw the questions in the lesson plans, many of them were similar to those seen back in the 1950's and early 60's, the very time period many here are yearning to see again.

Throughout this country and here on this blog, we all need to be able to discuss these issues more calmly as you have, without the venom and attacks that were the hallmark of that local blog that just got shut down.

How about it, everyone? Can you follow K. Groves example and talk passionately without the hate?
