PUBLIC UTILITIES

Preliminary work for the upgrade to the Meadow Brook pumping station began this week by Shorite Controls. We are still waiting for additional equipment to arrive for completion. This work is upgrading the pumps to help alleviate the constant clogging problem and reduce the risk of an overflow and maintenance labor.

The new field service truck has arrived and is being outfitted to be put in service next week.

ANOTHER new vehicle?? Has anybody else noticed that they seem to be driving a lot of new vehicles around there?
Maybe that's why the fees had to go up, and may go up some more next year.
Everybody gets their own new truck?

Fruitland employees and council never consider cutting back expenses or benefits. They always talk about this is what it costs. Let some of those big time spenders get laid off starting with the manager who isn't managing anything and maybe our water bill can be reduced.
