Another Blow For Chance Of Health Compromise

GOP senator says proposals would reroute Medicare spending, limit choice

WASHINGTON
- A leading GOP negotiator on health care struck a further blow to fading chances of a bipartisan compromise by saying Democratic proposals would restrict medical choices and make the country's "finances sicker without saving you money."

The criticism from Sen. Michael Enzi, R-Wyo., echoed that of many opponents of the Democratic plans under consideration in Congress. But Enzi's judgment was especially noteworthy because he is one of only three Republicans who have been willing to consider a bipartisan bill in the Senate.

In the Republicans' weekly radio and Internet address on Saturday, Enzi said any health care legislation must lower medical costs for Americans without increasing deficits and the national debt.

"We the people..."
That is how the declaration of independance starts.
We the people have spoken about government run health care, and the people have resoundingly said NO!
Dumbocrats, do you get it yet??

It's good to know that a spade is still called a spade before it's shoved up our a$$e$.

It's so simple and understandable, that it consternates the lying ba$tards that keep trying to get around it! In a thousand eighteen pages, they still fail to be able to undermine the stable truth of our Constitution..DARN!

Why does the MSM think that bi-partisan support is necessary for any health care nonsense? The Dems have enough votes to ram anything through by themselves without a single republican vote.

They know it won't work, and are afraid to accept the blame for things when they all go sour after the fact.

That's why they want to include repubs in anything they do --- to help spread the blame!!

Or maybe some dems would like to actually stop the usual gridlock in congress that comes from so much viral partasanship. Not saying it will be done, but I actually like to see them attempt to negotiate instead of breakdown along party lines.

Sounds like a good argument for nationalized health care.
