The mayor of Newark, New Jersey, is offering $1,000 to anybody who anonymously provides information on “illegal guns” in the city. In a video on posted on the City of Newark web page, the “Honorable” Cory A. Booker declares guns on the streets are unacceptable and he is offering the cash incentive to snitches.

However, there is a very obvious problem with the mayor’s program — how will the snitches tell the difference between an illegal and legal gun? How will the police tell the difference between a gang-banger with an illegal gun and a citizen exercising his or her right under the Second Amendment?

Don't be silly; they don't consider Second Amendment Rights to be valid and are intent upon disarming the American public. And if they succeed in destroying 2nd Amendment Rights, 1st Amendment Rights will be the next victom, as they too are under heavy attack.
An armed society is a polite society. An unarmed society is made up of subjects, mere vassals, at risk from a still armed criminal element and a still armed tyrannical government, intent upon imposing its will over every aspect of the lives of its subjects.

If I lived in Newark,NJ ,I certainly would have a gun!Bet theres quote a few registered owners.
It's easy to make a comment warning of assaults on the second amendment from a location where you have never more than a cursory fear of being physically assaulted.
If you lived in Newark, or the Bronx, where I currently live, I don't think you would be quite as fond of your neighbors owning guns.
Trust me, you want illegal guns off of dangerous streets by nearly whatever legal means necessary, no matter how creative.
I have seen someone lie bleeding on the pavement in front of my building; the result of multiple bullet wounds. I'd rather create a more difficult path for criminals to purchase illegal guns, so that I'm not bleeding out in the future.
Read and repeat to yourself:
NO ONE IS COMING TO "GET" YOUR GUNS. EVER.
Relax a bit.
Follow that mantra with:
THE SECOND AMENDMENT IS NOT GOING ANYWHERE. EVER.
This may dismay you a bit, but Bill Clinton (a Democrat) was President for 8 years, and you still have your guns.
Find something tangible to worry about.

We all hope you are right. But perhaps the reason it isn't going to happen is because we raise such hell everytime it is discussed. We can never give up our guns. Ever.
