Mowing Grass -- Priceless

I hope the picture will go through for you - of this Army soldier in Iraq with his tiny 'plot' of grass in front of his tent. It's heartwarming!

Here is a soldier stationed in Iraq , stationed in a big sand box. He asked his wife to send him dirt ( U.S. soil), fertilizer, and some grass seed so that he can have the sweet aroma, and feel the grass grow beneath his feet When the men of the squadron have a mission that they are going on, they take turns walking through the grass and the American soil -- to bring them good luck.

If you notice, he is even cutting the grass with a pair of a scissors. Sometimes we are in such a hurry that we don't stop and think about the little things that we take for granted.

Upon receiving this, say a little prayer for our soldiers that give and give (and give up) so unselfishly for us.

Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands.

Protect them as they protect us,

Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need.

In Jesus' name, Amen

I read that Iraq soldiers have begun to attack Iranians protesting the Ahmadinijad(sp) regime, siding with the Radical Islamic dictator and essentially saying screw you to the U.S. All those brave soldiers fighting for the Iraqi's and they betray us.

Bring out troops home now and let them all fight it out and kill each other.

Now if some of the local rednecks could cut their grass. Pride, its amazing what it does for you and I.

My hats off to all the troops. Thanks for giving me the freedom to do what I do day in and day out.

Troops are not "fighting for our freedom" ... because we already have it! This is a stupid and unrealistic cliche.

The USA won its freedom in the Revolutionary War, from Britan. And we defended it in 1812 when the Brits tried to come back again. In WWI, we defended our nation overseas, but never from a threat to our freedom or way of life. Period, end of story.

These guys in the sandbox, they may be patriotic, but no more than the next guy. They signed up to do a job, period. It's a job. Are you going to thank me for your freedom when I'm (insert job here) 40 hours a week?
