Your Tax Dollars Hard At Work!

Here's the tag number, for those of you who seem to be interested. You know, considering Sam's Club offers the best gas prices around, I wonder if the City buys their gas there? We certainly see City vehicles parked in their parking lot enough.

I can see the conversation now. Honey, why don't we take the Jeff Foxworthy SUV to Sam's Club so we have enough room for everything we want. Nah, are you kidding me. Do you have any clue how much gas that thing will burn. We get the gas for free in this vehicle and Lord Knows, God Forbid there's a fire somewhere, I need my toys! Besides, we're not paying for the gas nor the wear and tear on our limited edition Jeff Foxworthy SUV which will be worth more than your Lonenburger Baskets will be worth one day.

Oh, you're right Honey, I just hate being seen in that darn thing all the time. Every time we seem to take this thing anywhere that pesky Joe Albero snaps a picture of us and the next thing we know YOU'VE BEEN BLOGGED! Yeah, right, what's the odds that Joe Albero will be at Sam's Club!

Anon 9:48 AM,

You are right the man has a right to do things with his family but not on the City's dime. Hell he doesn't even live in the city limits and he is driving that vehicle all over at tax payers expense.

Jim Ireton you know better than that. Another typical lying politician. "Help Is On The Way" What a lie! Politicians will say anything to get elected and then they break their promises.

Is this SEE's vehicle or has he turned it in yet?

Anonymous said...

Joe keep up the good work. Keep those pictures coming.

Anonymous said...

I dont think they really care who sees them in the vehicles. And I doubt they are getting in trouble for it.

I quit giving to the Salisbury Fire Dept. because of this abuse. When they come to my house with their hand out or when they try to hit me up with their boot drive I just laugh in their faces. This is the same reason the County residents supported the tax cap, because this abuse goes on with county employees as well.

So are you saying the Police should turn in their take home cars also?

joealbero said...

anonymous 11:45, I think if you'll look around you'll notce that the Police, (most of them) refuse to take their company vehicles anywhere. The majority of them that I know bring their cars home and park it. They use their personal vehicles to make trips like this. Now I'm not saying all of them do but I can assure you of one thing, on days like yesterday and even today you'd have a better chance of seeing Sheriff Lewis on his Harley than you will in his County vehicle. Says a lot about a person, if you ask me. In fact, I have never seen Chief Webster in ANYTHING other than his City Interceptor. HAVE YOU?

Anonymous said...

Who was driving the car? Was it Gordo, Fatso or Tull? Regardless neither one of them should be in the position they are in much less driving a city vehicle for personal business.

Anonymous said...

Leaders should lead by setting a good example, ours do not, thus the problems in the city of Salisbury.

Anonymous said...

I love that this car is still showing up... because it proves that nobody cares about Albero!

Your pictures do NOTHING in the big picture!

Fire Dept business appropriate
Personal business inappropriate
Which was it ?
So far its just speculation!
Hung jury! Not enough evidence to convict.

Anon 3:06 PM

I believe the story states the "family" was in the car. What Fire Department business using the city vehicle as a personal vehicle appropriate?

Can you say Damage Control!

Anonymous said...

2:40 PM, Not true, the public does not give to the SFD because of this type of abuse and looks upon your agency as the joke that it is.

Anonymous said...

2:40pm, Maybe not, but Joe got you to read his blog and comment and that's something. Idiot!

Anonymous said...

It was Gordy's car.

Anonymous said...

Can't gordy use his own gas? HE charges to much for it the way it is!

Chimera said...

They should leave it home and drive their own, period.

Anonymous said...

Haha. That's funny because I see your beloved Sheriff's department doing the same exact thing all the time.

Anonymous said...

its a take home vehicle whats the big deal?if theres an emergency he can respond right away.why dont you take pictures of all the wicomico sheriff cars parked at wal mart with child seats in the back or state police cars?are you just trying to target the sfd to try and make them look bad?every govt organization who authorizes the use of take home vehicles use them in the same nature so why is it such a big deal that the sfd does too?get over it i see these pictures on here all the time.its like a game wonder where the fire dept drove to today?lol

If the new mayor came into office and started right off "firing" people he would be no better that tilghman...I think he is giving all of them a chance...most wont take it..be patient!

Anonymous said...

Gee you blabber mouths...I hope when you need someone to respond and they do not have to go home to get his car...But who says anything about the people who take their own cars to your 911 calls...Think before you speak!!!

Anonymous said...

There is & always has been an abuse of cars loaned by the County. I have seen it before & am still seeing it!!! They don't care because NOTHING IS EVER DONE TO CORRECT IT!!! Someone should follow these people around , get pics & what ever other evidence they can obtain & get Mr. Pollitts attention on the matter , the TV Stations, this Blogg ,Newspapers & make it Hot on their Tails!! The people need to demand Gov. STOPS wasting the tax payers money--Enough is Enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The bozo's at the top are not Leaders and never have been. Mr. Ireton please make the changes you promised when we elected you.

you know this is stupid maybe they were getting supplies for the firehouse. I mean come on if you want to point fingers look at your hero davis ruark who has a dui and still has a county vechile.

Chriso12385 said...

and the comment of police refusing to use their police vehicles for personal use is not true i have seen many of officers use their company vehicles for personal use with their family inside. Personally i really don't have a problem with it. I think it is great that they protect our city, county and state and is a perk of the job. People need to stop whining about it big deal if they use the police vehicles for personal use. some people need to get a life and find better use of their time rather than complain about an officer that protects us using their vehicle to run around. Do you ever complain about comcast using their vans for personal use? you still pay the bill but never complain about that.

8:23 PM

Newsflash to Moron 8:23 PM. If any of us has an emergency requiring the assistance of the Salisbury Fire Department we would be expecting a fire truck or an ambulance and not some unqualified jock strap in a wannabe police car. The names mentioned aren't qualified to poor p!ss out of a boot. Get real.

Anonymous said...

Chriso, I was thinking the same thing about getting supplies for the firehouse. And if they did, they would be saving our money by going to the Sam's club. People should stop rushing to conclusions all the time. Everyone knows what happens when you assume.

Joe this is where you should have done more research before posting stuff like this. But..., this is why I enjoy coming to your blog. I enjoy reading the comments for these nut bags. Its very entertaining.

LOL, Damn my truck was parked 3 spaces down in the picture! How did I miss this?!

Anonymous said...

Anon 1039 AM and Chriso if they were buying things for the firehouse don't you think they would have a contract for them or they would go out on bid? This is personal business whether you like it or not.

Chriso12385 said...

anon 11:19 do you have ANY clue about the fire service? maybe just maybe he was getting supplies to celebrate memorial day or just for regular items around the firehouse. they arent bid on you idiot its not a construction project. Get a clue and do us a favor and make sure your computer is hydrated so we never have to hear from you again
