More And More Children Sexting

GO HERE and watch this brief video where a 12 year old from Texas was recently snagged. The local who sent this to me asked, when will this strike our communities? It must be a problem here as well.

It is a problem here as well. It just hasn't reached the necessary magnitude to be "media worthy." A friend of mine recently had a visit from the sheriff's dept. Her 14 year old daughter had taken pictures of herself, some "less than desirable" pictures, and sent them to a boy in her school. The boy's parents found the picture messages in his cell phone and notified the police.

it is a sin how our children behave these days, no morals, no ethics, no modesty, its Sodom and Gomorrah coming about again.

As a teacher in this area, I can tell you that sexting is a problem on the Eastern Shore. I teach at a middle school and know for a fact of several girl's sending pic's to the boy's. I suggest that parent's check their children's phones, pic's and all very carefully!

What these youngsters fail to realize is that they can be charged with trafficking child porno AND be required to register as sex offenders for the rest of their lives, even IF they are sending pics of themselves voluntarily.Try getting into a good college in a few years with THAT in your dossier.
My point? Moniter their computer and telephone useage. As long as they are under 18 and under your roof, you own their privacy.

I provide cell phones for my teenaged grandchildren. I request a detailed bill every month, showing what numbers they call, what calls they receive (same with text messages), and what the phone numbers are. It's pretty interesting when you see that a 16 year old girl is texting at 4AM.

So, parents, get those detailed bills and see just what your kids are up to on
their cell phones, and when.
