"Working Together For Children"

Special Teacher of the Year Edition of "Working Together for Children" Begins Airing at 6:30 Thursday, April 2 on PAC 14

The April 2009 Special Edition of "Working Together for Children" will debut at 6:30 p.m. tonight (Thursday) on PAC 14 (Comcast Channel 14), with coverage of the 2009 Wicomico County Teacher of the Year Prorgam. The show will also air at noon Saturday, and throughout the month of April.

This month's one-hour show features the announcement of Delmar Elementary's Susan Cullen as the 2009-2010 Wicomico Teacher of the Year, an interview with Mrs. Cullen at her school, and a Q&A session with all 31 semifinalists on why they teach, their best moment or memory as a teacher, and other aspects of being a public school teacher.

"Working Together for Children" airs regularly at 6:30 p.m. Thursdays and noon Saturdays; visit pac14.org for additional times. PAC 14 also streams its programming live on its web site at www.pac14.org, so viewers can visit the web site to "tune in" on line when the show is on the air. DVDs of many past "Working Together" shows are now available at the Wicomico Public Library.

"Working Together for Children" is produced monthly by the Wicomico County Public Schools for broadcast to the community on PAC 14. "Working Together" was honored with a 2007 Hometown Video Award from the Alliance for Community Media in the Educational Profile category (nonprofessional production).

Yes, the Bd. pays someone FULL TIME to coordinate this once-a-month show and to do a few other very minor public relations tasks. It would take about 10 hours a week or less to do. This is another position created instead of letting someone go.
