The budget media event that Barrie Tilghman is doing this afternoon is a perfect time for her to give us that now long overdue briefing that Barrie promised when the WWTP fiasco became public. This is from WMDT's report by Keira Benson on March 23:
Salisbury Mayor Barrie Tilghman held a press conference on the issues at the plant Monday after she says information was leaked to the media. She says it was confidential because there could be litigation pending and she doesn't want to jeopardize it.
Tilghman says, "What we were doing was to try and get the consultant in here to give us a better idea of what was going on . . . brief the Council and the first week in April hopefully talk to the public about this."

yeah right... i am so sure she was NOT going to say a word about the WWTP. she got BUSTED by joe and now she has to make lame excuses! i really can't wait to hear what lies she has to tell.

She won't mention the WWTP but you can bet she won't hesitate to say no raises for Public Works employees which is the backbone of Salisbury! Just for your information I would give a very educated guess that 70% of city public works employees have a 2nd job just to make ends meet!

She got busted by Debbie Campbell when Campbell answered a question with something Barrie never does:
A straight answer!
Then she and Cohen posted the docs to back what Campbell said. And the docs weren't marked priviledged and confidential and Wilbur said nothing, no matter what lie Barrie tells.
Then Joe made it headline news.
There was no leak. Barrie and Bubba just hid the truth from the public that's paying for it!
Both should resign NOW, and take that lying Louweasel with them!
I agree with 3:26, but would add that they take Shanie with them (if she gets re-elected). Can't wait for the 20th and salvation for Salisbury!

I've been hearing people talk about being so glad she is out, serious, people I never hear talking politics ever. Does she even realize how disliked she is in this town outside of her little Comegys, Cathcarts, landlord circles?
