A Kentucky Man Charged With Nearly 300 Counts of Animal Cruelty! A Kentucky man was found hording some 300 dogs and cats this past Friday. At this very moment, the Director of the Wicomico Humane Society Linda Lugo is on her way back from Wilmington, Delaware with 19 of the dogs recovered and alive from this property. A few will continue on their way to Talbot County after a very long journey on a tractor trailer that left Kentucky last evening. Linda mentioned a Jack Russell mix on board as well as the fact that all of these dogs have mange. A curable mange, mind you but they'll be quarantined for 7 to 10 days and then they'll become available to the public. So if there's ever a time the WHS needs your help, this is it. Linda said ALL of these dogs are very sweet and will make fantastic pets. I will deliver more to you on this story as it progresses.

This is great that Wicomico Co. is taking these animals in but.....WHY are we taking them in? Is there no SPCA in Kentucky?????
Not enough that you find homes for pets from all the people in foreclosure now, you feel the need to go half way across the country to fetch a few, pushin your luck if ya ask me.....

What the heck are we speniding our tax dollars on these dogs. We can't even afford animal control in this county. Time for someone to do some explaining. I give money to our Humane Society- Not Kentucky!!!!

Before jumping to conclusions, a quick internet search shed some light on this story. It's a typical hoarding case on a larger scale. I believe his heart was in the right place but he got in over his head in animals.
Thumbs up for the shelters that took these animals to find homes for them.
