Makes me proud to be a Navy vet!
The basics for this is taught to each and every person going thru bootcamp. Of course, on graduation day, we could never look that good.
I wonder how precise they would be if that was Obama standing in the middle? :) (just kidding, don't get your drawers in a bunch)
Mardela, you know as well as I do, like it or not they would have performed with discipline and precision even if it was Hillary Clinton in the middle. LOL
While in boot camp I won an award competeing with all the other companies for individual military drill. This brought back fond memories.
You know I was kidding.
My son was very good at spinning. I wanted him to join the military. He would have excelled at this. But, like most kids, he chose his own path. At least he's going to college. :)
I loved marching. I was the one who led the group, yelling all the commands (to the left flank march). I wish I could remember what that was called. My voice has never been the same!
Do you mean cadence? I wasn't tall enough to be in the front. We did have one woman in our company tall enough to march up front with the guys. Bonnie Perdue, she stood 5'11 you could say we all looked up to her LOL
Wow - this is what I call discipline. More young people should go into the Navy (or any military branch) to teach them some manners! And discipline. So many young people of today HATE to take orders!
They are in their own little world - to even tell them to take out the trash is MORE than they can handle!
This video brought tears to me seeing how much
work, pain and discipline went into this performance.
I am in the united states navy Honor Guard and the time and teaching that goes into each precise movementwe make is very diffcult we have to be perfect not just in are drill but in uniforms and over all apperance. An also i can speak for every platoon thier colos, casket bearers, drill team, marching platoon, and firinf party that we are all excited and thrilled to e performing in such an amazing event.
