Andy Harris Makes Statement On Election

Andy Harris released the following statement:

My parents immigrated to the United States to flee Communism with the hope of a better life for themselves and their children. Their experience taught me early on to believe in and trust the democratic process in America, where we have a fair and just system of laws in place to make sure every vote cast is counted fairly.

I will work with the County Boards of Elections and Mr. Kratovil's campaign to make sure that we come to a conclusion quickly, so that we can get back to work for the people of the First District. I have complete confidence in our election system and the men and women responsible for making sure that the process of counting each vote is fair and straightforward.

I'm a Kratovil supporter, Joe. But this is a great example of positive and responsible reaction to a tough situation like this. If Mr. Harris is ultimately elected, he'll have my confidence.

Don't trust the dems.

It took him or Mr. Meekins 12 hours to concoct this pap (or was it taken from the Bush 2000 election reports with revision to fit the instance)?

Wrong - don't trust ANY of them!

Judge them by their actions and experience, not their hollow promises.

I'm sick of these political "my parents" stories. Many of us have family that left various countries to better themselves or avoid or escape oppression or worse, and in many other cases it was for a completely different reason, involving involuntary action.

with all the noise of the campaign and the negative ads run by both sides of the political spectrum and all the rhetoric and rumor mongering, the American way of chosing leaders is in my opinion the winner in all of all this. nearly 46% of those who voted for the presidential ticket are disapointed to say the least. but the civility with which defeat is conceded starting from Senator Mccain and going done all the way to his last volunteer is a testament to the country. because the country knows that in four years there will be another chance. this is profound to me because i am a naturalized citizen and have seen "so called" elections in another country. dont take the greatness of these United States for granted. it is something to be marveled at.

God, what a fraud. He practically spit on Kratovil at the SU debate, and then he says this? Give me a break.
