*Warning* The Macabre Reality of "What do you do with the Baby"?

C'mon, man....it's a gorgeous Halloween Friday. Can we table the absolute worst common denominator of partisanship for just a few days? The election is Tuesday-everyone has decided one way or another who to vote for (and if not, they probably shouldn't be "suffraging" anyway). Show us pictures of kids smiling in their halloween costumes, or make a "knock-knock" joke, but give us a break on this kind of stuff...if I argue the merits of Roe v. Wade (either way) it will be on a rainy Monday morning when I am already grumpy after losing at fantasy football (again...thanks for nothing LT and Run DMC!!).

If the image horrofies you, how do yout think that baby feels, or what would you tell him/her?

Not everyone has decided who to vote for.

People who are not aware of the culture of death that the Obama platform stands for may just change their minds.

This is a sickening and discgusting video. The practice of abortion and partial birth abortion are worse.

How can anyone who claims to be a Christian vote for Obama?

I would unfortunately say that the baby in the picture/video is a surviving, unwilling victim of a misguided political agenda (the somber piano music behind the commentary is perhaps the sickest feature of this ad). I would state I have degrees in counseling, and have paid my dues counseling not just local people with "bad" behaviors, but genuine SOCIOPATHS-NONE I met hated children or animals in the manner described (watch the Sopranos...see how Tony handled the killing of "Pie O'My").I would remind the female contributor of this article that she too is a woman, who our free country (the Supreme Court is dominantly male)has given the RIGHT to choose (along with a doctor and higher power SHE chooses). I would remind her that although she endorses bringing these babies into society, the political party she endorses neither provides social programs to help the baby/most likely-unwed mother thrive/survive (even though its heart beats) and then when it inevitably fails to live up to their definition of "American", they will call for its prompt life incarceration (on our taxpayer dime) or prompt public execution. Joe, I know you think old RB is really Nancy Pelosi's love seed at this point...but c'mon...don't declaw my comments on something this serious here(even if you may not agree)!!

This is sick. This is horrible. No child born into this world, wether wanted by the mother or not should be left to die in this way.

To think that a presidential candidate would feel no remorse in letting this happen makes me wonder what kind of man he is. He has no heart (he's a lawyer of course} and is only trying to force hid ideology on us. He absolutely doesn't care one bit about any of us individualy.

Roe v Wade was a decision by one group of justices from one era. I doubt this would have passed when our country was started and for the next 100 or so years, and it might not even pass now.

How come fathers of these kids don't get a say in whether or not a child is aborted or not? It's just as much a part of him. He gets no decision and still has to pay is the mother decides to keep the child. What about his rights? Why can't he decide he wants the baby to live? This feminine ownership of the fetus is wrong. Two people came together and created a child. Two people should be able to decide what happens with said child. If the two people don't want the child, then the child should be given up for adoption. This killing off of the unborn has got to stop.

"He is a lawyer of course." Smile when you say that-in any given case only 50% are pissed with THEIR LAWYER....Your subjective definition of "heart" is just that...subjective. My wife is adopted and I have beautiful kids of my own; we are all better for it. Certain "choices" were made. However, this story is horribly slanted factually, and quite frankly too late to have effect on swing voters (if that was even its true intent). It is just downright divisive and desperate. At least the other guy in the Richard Pryor T-Shirt tried to convey an idea honestly, and with a laugh intended. Maybe we can table this again until Wednesday morning just so we really know what parameters we have to work with. Because one way or another 42-45%, or so, of us are going to have to come to some REAL acceptance (not just this daily bickering) on some issues, like, ASAP.

so bobby reese is saying its ok to kill babies if its going to cost him a dime? what happen to spread the wealth? How many babies died today while you enjoyed your gorgeous friday? perhaps you should sacrifice one of your children, inevitably someday it will cost us taxpayers a dime.

3:04. Oh, 3:04. What are we going to do with you, you silly goose/gander? For the record, although my stand on the issues in this thread remains true, I will admit the electrified sign shocking the "already born liberal devil child" has become funnier after a few pumpkin coladas though....

Indefenseable!
It's B.S. She wait now to tell this horrible story. And, had the nerve to "rock" a baby to death. That Nurse is dispicable. The Nurses in these hospitals who are witnesses and allow this to go on for years are the devils. Not Obama.

And,
The the mothers who agree to a late term abortion is the devil spawn.

Oh Contra ire!
I was once the liberated young daughter of liberated woman that taught me that I was equal to any man and if I was going to make my way in this world then I was going to have to be completely responsible for myself in every respect including my reproductive organs.
I, like many women of my generation was ready to take on the world. Our mothers had burned the bridges of dependence on men and we could take care of ourselves.
I was not going to be the victim of any situation. I was educated, employed and in control of my reproductive health.
One day at school, I was approached by a career recruiter with a new position at a Women's Health Clinic (we all know the name). They made me an offer for a position as a Pregnancy Counselor. I was to counsel other young women and empower them in their time of need, and crisis. I took the position and the doors opened to a world I never knew existed, and wish to the core of my being never did.
I was a counselor at the Hollywood office, in a beautiful office building on Hollywood Blvd. The office was located exactly a block away from my old high school. I worked five days a week from 3 to 9.
Each and everyday I counseled young women to 'put themselves first', and 'think about their future', to 'take control of their lives', to 'rest assured that this was the right choice', 'now is not the time', 'you won't be able to provide the life for them that they deserve', 'you don't have to tell anyone, it's your body', 'it's only a mass of tissue', 'there is nothing recognizable', 'No, it doesn't feel anything', 'No, you will be just fine', 'it just takes a few minutes and you will feel like you are just having a heavy cycle', 'you'll be fine', 'Oh no, there is nothing to worry about, it won't effect your chances of having a family later in your life', 'I know; men just don't understand, plus you can't depend on them anyway'... The advise went on and on.
It was just a mass of tissue...
Then one day I was asked if I could fill in for one of the post-op counselors at the hospital during the next week as she was out sick.
At the hospital, is where I saw it.
The late term saline abortions. The $1,600 ones not the $199.00 ones.
Here the women delivered children. Children that were burned alive in their wombs.
How do I counsel someone that just did this? What do I say? That isn't just a mass of tissue, that is a child. I worked one full day of the five I was scheduled for. One of my co-workers must have seen my inner turmoil, and I was called that night and told that the person that I was filling in for was better, and I should return to the office the next day.
I did, and I gave my notice, but was told that I would be given two weeks pay, but I didn't have to come in, they were making some changes within the office anyway, so they would be fine.
I was given my check, and told by my supervisor that "even though it was a really hard thing that these women went through, it was for the best".
Ten women delivered saline poisoned babies on the day I was at the hospital, and I tried to encourage all ten of them. The nurses do their best to downplay the event, and conceal the babies body from the mother, but she knows immediately what has happened; what she has done, as their responses were all the same. Grave despair, deep mourning, and the most grievous guilt.
I can't begin to count the number of women that I encouraged to end their pregnancy during the time that I worked in the Hollywood office. But I do know that the phone rang all day, and we had a counseling staff of six at that office. We also had a doctor on staff, but we were all trained in assisting the doctor and a rotated from the phones to the clinic to assist in pre and post-op exams.
9 to 9, six days a week 35 to 50 women per day.
I don't remember the break down on all the charges for everything, but I do remember my supervisor bragging that we had beaten one of the other offices by having a million dollar week, two weeks in a row.
I thought I was doing the right thing, until I saw what that 'thing' was.
It is a precious baby, and it's mother is a forever changed, deeply wounded women, that may never recover.
This industry is money driven, through and through. In those day's there was a lot of convincing to be done to assure a woman that she was doing what was best.
However, in the culture of today, with the media and special interest groups making this okay, I doubt that there is much convincing to be done.
Lobbyist for this industry have to brainwash our society that this is something that we need, in order to stay in business.
But unlike the late night TV commercial pitching a vacuum cleaner our government through the assistance of these organizations have forced each and every tax payer to play a role in this horrible act by making us pay for most of them.
I realize that this was long, and gruesome, but I want all of you to know that I did not put this up to be flip, and take a cheap stab at Obama. Any candidate that supports this and doesn't actively vote against it has blood on their hands.
Many women that have worked in this industry have come forward, and are Pro-Life's biggest supporters, because they have seen the truth, they have seen the pain, and they have heard the cries.

If our politicians would stop using abortion and gay rights to get votes then this country might be in better shape now. Other developed counties would laugh their politicians off the podiums if they tried to use such silly things to get votes. This country is in one big mess and it is not because of gays or abortions.

People who fall for this are just plain stupid!

the nurses have nothing to say about letting this "go on." it's the dr.' who in the middle of the nite say "a woman or girl is bleeding...we have to do this now". the nurse does not write in dr's reports and they can write what they want...and usually that is the poor girl would bleed to death if we don't do this...

OMG! I've "heard" of this but have honeslty never paid "attention" to this. Wymzie, I'm sitting here in my kitchen a wreck at this moment. I had NO IDEA something like this went on. I don't give a rat's backside if this video added more "hollywood" than what actually happens, but after what you wrote I could barely get through your letter. I could not see because of my tears.

Jesus Christ what have we become? What the hell has happened to us as a society? We’re that barbaric now that we can actually kill a living human being and just watch them die this way? Being your typical man I honestly thought that an abortion worked like we all probably have heard in the past. I cannot believe that we have become so calloused, so jaded and unfeeling that we can just wrap a child in a cloth and allow them to die this way. This is so against what I think our purpose on earth is all about.

Look, I’m not a “PRO” anything. At least I didn’t think I was. I adopted a child because for whatever reason my God decided that my wife and I were unable to reproduce. However we have been blessed because I cannot even remember our lives without our four year old in it. Isn’t that strange? With so many couples out there willing to adopt, why don’t we make those laws easier for them?

Damn. I could smack you Joe for putting this up. Well, not really. My heart aches for these children and for the parents. Wymzie, for what it’s worth, I feel like I have not only been kicked in the stomach… I feel as if I have been kicked in the heart. This hurts me to my core.

I’m rambling now, so I should probably close. What do you say to something like this? I don’t care about Obama, McCain, or any other politician at this moment. “They” should have nothing to do with this.

……………..I’m awash in pain and with a broken heart at this moment.

Unfortunately, the truth is more gruesome and hurtful than any fiction Hollywood can produce.
It is pure manipulation from these evil people, and the money of the sheople to pay for the great American whore called advertising, to change our way of thinking.
We have made it ok, and division runs deep among our people over it.
This shouldn't even be a topic of discussion, yet as another person posted it is the pivot point in our national politics.
It is 2008, and we are having this discussion over something as barbaric as an event in the Tower of London.
It is our responsibility as a society to teach our children to control themselves, and if they enter into a relationship talk with them and get them on birth control, so they never have to get to this point.
A century ago girls were married at 13 and 14 because they became pregnant because that is the way God made us. Teenagers have sex, and no matter what your personal convictions are on the matter, you cannot completely control everything your kids do. People have to get real and really protect their children by assisting them in becoming responsible adults. Ignoring, the primal sex drive that each and everyone of us is born with is to deny creation itself.
Just because society has developed to such a height to say that a woman must be college educated, and in the prime of her career before she marries and decides to get pregnant in order to be labeled a success is ridiculous! Our bodies were made to reproduce two decades before our society blesses it.
Now, the "unsuccessful" are the ones who reproduce. Those with an education, and are victims of society's pressures are putting it off longer and longer.
In my personal experience, the woman who I dealt with was majority of 17 to 20 something white women, and 10 to 15 year old black children . Whites far outnumbered blacks.
But this was in the megalopolis of Los Angeles.
