Trick Or Treating

Happy Halloween Everyone.

There's a problem at hand though. When does everyone go Trick Or Treating? You see, there's NOTHING in the Daily Slime. NOTHING on WBOC or WMDT. Sooooo, Salisbury News will set the rules this year and the time will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM this evening.

Stay warm and hey, let's be careful out there.

I know 9:30 is being sarcastic but the certainly is a void for community information like this.... I say "Thanks" Joe

Here's a good rule that we implemented as a neighborhood in Pocomoke last year (We hung these at our gates)

NO KID

NO COSTUME

NO CANDY!!

It is unbelievable the amount of people that come to our door every year with no costume on and no kid with them.
I have had numerous young mothers who have bags full of candy, wearing no costumes and stating that their baby is asleep in the car coming to my door.
Not to mention the tween agers who want the candy but are not willing to put forth the effort for a costume.
It is my opinion that store bought costumes are a waste of money. I have always encouraged my children to go through the house and assemble a costume out of what we have here. If there is missing element, that needs to be purchased then maybe, but I definitely encourage them to make due with what they have, and count the costs of what they want.
Rich or Poor, if you choose to participate in Halloween and go Trick or Treating there is no reason not to have a costume, and if you don't, you can expect not to get candy.

Another example of a "problem" that was created by a blog. It wasn't a problem until you declared it so. This is what blogs do to people.

Be careful if you're in Snow Hill--
Snow Hill: Friday, Oct. 31, 5-8 p.m.; - It is illegal for anyone over the age of 12 to go trick - or - treating. It is also illegal for anyone over 12 to wear a costume. It is a $400 fine per violation.

I thought trick or treating was canceled this year due to the lack of of mayor's costumes. It seems like when ordered, they all came back as devil costumes.

It is Halloween for crying out loud. There are no rules. Go out and say Trick or Treat. Have fun.
