First Congressional Candidate Forum

"Joe,

I was at the First Congressional Candidate Forum held at Wye Mills yesterday and I just wanted to share a few observations with you and your readers.

This was a well run forum and the questions were fair. I applaud the League of Women Voters for a "Job Well Done."

On the economy:

Andy Harris believes that lower taxes and limiting government spending is the best way to stimulate small, medium and large business and create jobs.

Frank Krarovil thinks that government regulation is the answer.

Bailout:

Frank supports the bailout and thinks that even though it didn't work, he would support a second bailout.

Andy was against the first bailout and does not support another bailout attempt by the government. Andy feels that government is often times the cause of the problem, not the solution.

Environment:

Frank supports costly state laws that hurt our local economy and drive business to neighboring states.

Andy supports a regional approach to include all states that border the Chesapeake Bay watershed.

2nd Amendment:

Andy is endorsed by the NRA

Frank is not.

The choice is clear. If you want a tax and spend liberal vote for Frank Kratovil.

If you want smaller government and no new taxes vote for the conservative Andy Harris.

Thanks,

Nick"

Richard James is a wonderful man with some great ideas. Unfortunately, (for him) many of them mirror most of what Andy Harris stands for.

Richard, (to me) doesn't have the DRIVE to be a Congressman. Like I said, nice guy and I thank him for his service. He just doesn't have what it takes to do the job we need done.

Is there a way to find out how much money Gilcrest has given to the Kratovil campaign?
