I couldn't ride the horses on Assateque but riding on your carousel was just as good. Thank you for those wonderful memories so many years ago and for making my childhood a magical one.

RIP Mr. Trimper. Condolences to the family. Mr. Trimper was one of the originals that helped make Ocean City what it is today. Along with Bill Caine, Hugh Cropper, Buddy Jenkins, Harry Kelly, Jim Mathias, John Fager, Bo Riggerio and a slew more I can't think of at the moment.

Don't forget Max Berg (the initial condo developer on the strip) and Bobby Baker (the original Carousel) and the folks that started and then ran Edward's all those years. And Cullen Jenkins (Buddy's dad). How about Thelma Conner, too. And the man who was behind the scenes for much of it -- George Bert Cropper!

saw him riding on his cart in the spring checking out his new ride. He was smiling like a kid. Said he was going to get his knee operated on the next day.

RIP Mr. Trimper!

I grew up in the park and spent a many of summers there while my Grandmother (Lotus) worked for Trimpers. You and your family have always been good to our family and you will be missed greatly.

Thank you Granville Trimper and family for all the fun times on the Boardwalk in Ocean City. My Mom and Dad loved to take us there and we loved it just as much. Your old Big Eli ferris wheel is my favorite, along with all the other classic rides. Rest in Peace Granville. God bless the Trimper family.
