Salisbury University Teacher Education & Technology Center (TETC),

It's the start of a new fall semester as we welcomed the class of 2012. In addition, we officially opened our newest academic facility, the Teacher Education & Technology Center (TETC), pictured here:

Some fun facts about the innovative TETC Building which houses the Seidel School of Education & Professional Studies and part of the Fulton School of Liberal Arts:

*Some 607,646 pounds of mortar were used, equaling the weight of 40 school buses!
*The building includes some 400 windows
*The 1,550 tons of steel used to construct the TETC weighs about the same as 310 elephants
*Up to 40% of the building's structural steel is made from recycled materials!

All are invited back to campus to tour this amazing, cutting edge academic facility. We have many events planned this fall for you to come back visit campus. Fun Day is September 20, Sea Gull Century is
October 3-5, Homecoming is October 17-19 and Parents and Family Weekend is October 31 - November 2!

they could have saved a lot of mortar if they had talked to Ms.Chambers at city hall. She would tell them that loose laid bricks are stronger than concrete.

As a student at Salisbury University I have to say how thrilled I am with the new TETC building. The only sad part about it is that it was not opened earlier in my college career.
