Willards Fireworks Still On!

I spoke with the folks from Bay Fireworks a short time ago and the show is still on.....for now. I was told that there is bad weather coming toward us and it's supposed to hit early afternoon. It's not supposed to last too long so we're looking forward to a nice show. Station 7 Restaurant will be there along with Whitey's Barbecue serving up some good food. There will be a few other organizations with booths including a local church making snow cones and providing music and an Alex's Lemonade to raise funds to fight childhood cancer. This is going to be a good time considering it started out as just a fireworks display. People are invited to start showing up at about 4:00 pm.

Thanks Joe! We've heard so many different times. Then to see you could arrive at 4:00. I was just totally confused.

We're going to be there. Stop by and say hello. Just look for the Urban Assault Vehicle in front of the School.

There is a parade?

no....there's no parade. The Eastern Shore Jeep Assoc. is having a booth and part of the display is a couple of jeeps - a mud jeep and a rock crawler I think. They are also selling those glow in the dark necklaces for the kids. Maybe we could do a parade next year but we have to get through this year first. The Wicomico Eastside Chamber of Commerce is new to this kind of thing and we have to crawl before we walk. We're hopeful that this will be a nice event in spite of the weather. C'mon out.

just got back from the willards fireworks. was very good. Everyone well behaved and the fireworks were better than I expected. Kudos has to go to whom ever planned this and hope they can do it again next year. And Kudos also to the Tabernacle for providing the music. The Rittenhouse family does a great job running that church and doing community events.
