Great job, law enforcement! The rash of stolen cars is of concern. Those cars are later used in serious crimes, so witnesses who get the tag numbers at the scene of the crime are not really helping the police identify the criminals. Remember after the attack on the woman driver on Toadvine Road, many stolen vehicles (including the truck used in that crime) were found in the parking lot of Shady Grove Apartments? Police don't seem any closer to catching that felon.
