Bryan & Brittinghams In Delmar, DE.

Have you ever been to this Store? First of all, it's just over the Delaware line in Delmar, so it's TAX FREE! Secondly, their prices tend to be lower than anyone else anyway and their selection of items is just unbelievable! Dogs, Cats, Horses I don't care what animal you have, they stock products to serve all your wants and needs. They also have gardening supplies, tools, it reminds me of one of those small town Hardware Stores and everyone is polite and they appreciate your business. So if you're looking for a pet supply store locally, drop in and tell them you heard about them in Salisbury News. NO, I don't get a break or any special deal on anything. This is a rare find any more so give them a visit.

One of best if not the best hardware store on delmarva. I have quit riding to Lowes.Because if this store does not have what you are looking for you will have to find it online. They also have a great sales staff and good prices.Joe I wish you had kept this gem our little secret!

yes. I've been there many times. The people are always helpful and the selection is unbelievable. The cost isn't too bad....remember, it's a mom and pop shop so they don't have the buying power of Lowe's or Home Depot, but when you consider the absence of the 6% sales tax and the fuel and time you save if your close to the store - it's a no brainer. If you're an investor and your business or interest is in town, you should consider keeping your business (money)in that town - it boosts the local economy.

I meant if "you're" close to the store.

Joe, you know my "situation". The people here are wonderful. They were unbelievable when it came to helping me get to what I was looking for. I will continue to go back. You don't get that kind of help at Lowe's or Home Depot without having to go look for someone and then they want to be in a hurry.

anonymous 7:59,

How could I know your "situation" when you're typing in anonymous?

Bryan and Brittingham IS that old time general store. They came with the town. You just can't beat them with a stick. I burn the extra gas for their customer service.

It should also be noted,

Don't think of the image of some of those other small town hardware stores or feed stores and think you're anywhere close to what this location is like. This store is spotless and I'm being serious. Their stock is straight and neat and if you just take a good look at the pictures above you'll see exactly what I'm talking about.

Here's a TWIST for you too. If you're at Home Depot and or Lowes and you can't find what you're looking for, go to Bryan & Brittingham's and I'll bet you find it there. Then when you do you'll probably never go back to Home Depot or Lowes again. That is, unless you're there to search out an Employee to help you find something and that takes you 1/2 hour and when they tell you what Isle it's in, its NOT! Now you're pissed off looking for that person who fed you the line of BS just to get rid of you and sent you to the other end of the Store. They're not stupid, YOU ARE! LOL

the people in this store are fantastic, remember when we had alot of locally owned stores like this. not only do i like the inside of this store, i know everything about the underneath of it. i put their a-c in a few years ago. this is the place i go to for my supplies, always. i would pay a little more just to not have to deal with the super shit stores, but most the time bob will match their price.

I work in Delmar and needed a roll of white duct tape.I had never been to this store, but I did not have the time to go to one of the big box stores and wander all the aisles for one item.As soon as I entered the store,I was greeted and the lady took me right to what I was looking for. When the cashier rang up my purchase,I noticed that the amount was less than the posted price.I asked her if it was on sale. No, she replied, that's your discount.I can only assume that she had recognized me from my place of business and I was the recipient of a "Local's Discount".I will go back.

B&B is a wonderful store. Unbeatable service, friendly faces, and as another poster said, they will take you right to where your item is. If anyone has ever worked customer care in a large store, they always preach this kind of service, but rarely give it. B&B is the real deal. They even carry my bird seed bags to the car for me. I love B&B, can ya tell??? ;)

How do you get there?

B & B is great, but so is "The Hardware Store", on Rt. 50 near Mardela. It's on the corner of Rt. 50 & Barren Creek Rd. It's also an "old timey store" - old wood floors, superb service. Not as large as B & B but is also a family owned establishment. We need to support that type of local store as much as possible. The owner Dave is great - visit them, Joe! - MN
