Question of the Day, Sun 6/22

What's the best advice you have ever given?

Who did you give the advice to? Did they like what you had to say? Did they use your advice to their advantage?

It may sound selfish, however if we aren't happy with ourselves it makes it hard for others to like us.

Threat yourself good, you deserve it. It's just more important that we be happy with ourselves, than it is for others to be happy with us, who cares what others think all the time?

If you are happy with yourself, the rest will come naturally. Gawd, it sounds like I stole that from a horoscope, if so it was a subliminal message.

I took Al Bundy's advice, I never got married O¿~

Read, Sing and Don't grow old to fast. My grandmother told me to make sure I have fun and not regret trying something new. I cherish that to this day

Hire a doula for labor and birth. I'm a childbirth educator, and every woman I come across, that's the first and last thing I advise them. They usually try to hire one, but there's only one in the area, so its tough.

Don't bite the hand that could feed you someday.

People burn their bridges too often and regret it. That 22 year old that you are treatng like an ass could be your boss someday.

The best advice I ever gave and still give to the young guys with young children. I tell them to enjoy the kids while they are still little because tomorrow they will be grown and gone. Spend time with them now because they grow up fast and before you know it they are on their own. i know this from experience but they say they are so small I have plenty of time. It will go faster than you realize. So there it is take it or leave it but it is some of the best advice you will ever get.

Learn a trade now whereby you can make a living. Go to school later, if you still want to.
Think recession proof.

My mother said that no matter what I did to always teach my children compassion and who God is. If they learned nothing else, compassion is what everyone needs to become healthy emotional people who are caring, loving and they will not judge. They will do their best and let God be left to be the one to judge and when times get the toughest and their seems to be no hope, they will know that God will always be there for them and not forsake them.

Two things that I told my daughter:
1 - TRAVEL! You will never learn anything if you stay in Salisbury all of your life!
2 - Find something to laugh about every day.
