My question:
What exactly is Bill Shatner smoking?
This was done in the 1970's so you never know...
My favorite part was the Tom Jones knockoff with the loose bow tie.
Totally classic & obscure Shatner... gotta love it!!!
Now I can't get the song out of my head.
I met Shattner when I was a teenager. I had a friend who worked at stable in Burbank where he kept his horses. She cleaned stalls to pay for boarding her horse and she was his horses groom.
Shattner, would ride every day and was quite prissy, and took himself sooooo seriously we would gag ourselves laughing.
So this video really struck my funny bone!
OMG, was he being SERIOUS? Tell me he was parodying himself, please!
Oh. I forgot. NOW he does that. Back then, he believed his own press.
Shatner is pure genius with his rendition.
I also think Stewie Griffin (Seth McFarlane's) parody of it on Family Guy was a riot.
