The Rumor Is Not True

"Like with the premature rumors of Mark Twain's demise, the rumors of my bankruptcy have been grossly exaggerated.

As with most companies in our business, we are struggling to keep our people working. We are hopeful the market will turn in the next 24 months.

Thank you for your kind words and we hope to be in business for quite a while.

Sincerely,
Tom Ruark"

Thanks Tom!

With as many people as there are who depend upon this employer to feed their families, I'm happy to hear that he's not in such dire straits as the rumors suggested.
Having said that, there is still lots of room for improvement in their way of doing business in the community.

If Tom did claim chapter 11 or 13
he would still remain a very wealthy man.His dedication to his employees has yet to be seen!!

If Mr. Ruark was to go belly up it would definately have a huge impact for this area.

I'm glad he's doing OK, if he wasn't we would all be doomed.

The industry you had better support on the shore is Poultry, let these companies start facing major hardship and we will be DOOMED!!!

In times like this we are really missing people like Richard Hazel, Richard Henson and Frank Perdue. They did so much for this community.

I have a great idea. Lets bulldoze, the developments, walmart and the north prong, go back to growing chickens, corn, beans and melons. Get the work boats back in the water and the tongs out. We have been sold out and turned into a giant disgusting suburb. I really wish all these come heres, (not all of them are so bad, but the majority is) would just GO HOME

Salisbury is turning into a Glen Burnie of the eastern shore, we moved here in' 69 to get away from this crap and now it's time to think about moving again. I guarantee it will be far enough to never have to worry about getting annexed into Salisbury in my lifetime.

Worcester county line isn't that far away and the county piggy back income tax is 40% less.
