Question of the Day, Sat 5/24

Happy Memorial Day weekend. Summer is practically here. Children are just a few weeks away from summer vacation from school.

What vacations do you have scheduled this summer? What's your idea of "roughing it" while on vacation? Is your vacationing plans changing due to the economy and fuel prices?

We had planned a trip to Europe this summer but with the exchange rate and the cost of gas over there, we decided it best to stay in the US. However, with gas now almost $4.00 gal, we are doing just short haul trips - . The airports are going to be chaos with the full flights and delays with the baggage situation so what better place then to just have friends over for cookouts and day trips! Thanks to the RICH oil companies!

Vacation? ahahahahahaha you're kidding right? What I would have spent for a vacation I'm now setting aside for winter. It's going to cost an arm and a leg just to keep the chill off.

In June we are vacationing in Sedona AZ and Las Vegas. Hopefully the airlines and airports dont screw us up. Traveling with 3 kids is hard enough with out those complications. If I can figure out how to upload pics I will send some.

Speaking of heating oil, my friend in CT said she has locked in her price already for this winter at $3.?? They told her it will be at least $4.89 a gal by fall. We have a 300 gal tank and I can't begin to see how we will manage this winter. Looking into a pellet stove.

Got my assateague sticker and will spend time there and at my backyard retreat with friends.
At my house we stick with a line item budget and No Pork. Unlike the city of ruin-Salisbury.
