It's crazy how hard the main stream media tries to ignore/hide that he's still in the race.
Ron Paul 2008!!!!
You do realize the Maryland primary was over 3 months ago right? Why would you want the same mess the Dems have in their party? Unity is the key at this point.
Ron Paul is probably your best choice for president. I just think he doesn't have a very good chance to win. I am not even sure if his name will show up on the balot in all of the states. Anyone out there democrat or republican should check out his views on everything especially the economy,
If every voter across the country would do this he would win by a landslide. He is definitely the best choice for president and he has been in politics a long time
If his name isn't on the ballot, then we need to get out the word and write him in!
Steph
Get an absentee ballot and write his name in. Ron Paul in 2008
You can write Ron Paul in all you want but unless he files as an independent write-in candidate or is nominated by the Libertarian or Green parties his votes won't count.
Ron Paul had his chance in the Republican primary and got a single-digit percentage here in Maryland.
Oh I am sorry i thought this was about the Land Fill case. OOOOps First hundreds being charged well then maybe 10-15 welllll. Whats Up
Are you really sure about those votes not counting Michael? I'm not knocking you just asking, I know you are very knowledgeable in politics.
I'm not saying it's going to happen, but really, if Ron got a majority of the votes, the will of the people will have to settle for second most?
If you do decide to vote for Ron Paul you will have to do so by absentee ballot because you can't do it on the electronic touch screen at the polls. We had a lady from the election board come to our neighborhood association meeting and that is one question that I asked was about write in votes, she made no mention of it not counting.
There has been a lot more exposure since the primaries, I, like a lot of other people have changed their minds about a presidential candidate. My voice will not be heard? Again, not being picky just want to know as I'm sure many others will as well. Thank You.
Tim, Michael,
Explain this please.
If an absentee ballot is necessary, then those will have to be sent in earlier than the November election. This will take a lot of footwork to accomplish this task to get this information out.
If what Michael is saying is true, a write in is impossible unless Paul changes parties?
It's called the "sore loser" law. Because Maryland had its Republican (and Democrat) primaries, an also-ran in the balloting cannot use the same party designation and be on the ballot. So Ron Paul would have to be nominated via convention by one of the two "minor" parties in Maryland (Libertarian and Green) to appear on the ballot.
There may be another way, but I'm not sure if he can do this for a federal race. That would be for the Paul campaign to petition his way onto the ballot as an Independent candidate.
Thanks for that explanation Michael. I was a bit confused. I hope he does run independent, that would take the leg work out of getting people informed so they could do the absentee ballot.
