LIVE Again From Room 301 In The GOB

Well, I'll start with this. There's no water in the building. No bathrooms can be used, therefore one must wonder how they can hold this meeting legally? If there's a fire, there's no water as well. A water main broke and they have nothing available water wise.

Chief See is here, WOW, twice in one day. The Salisbury Fire Department won an award, Deputy Chief Gordy was flown to New Orleans to receive a viatech award for innovative construction work on the new Fire Station. This organization is just about as big as you can get. Dupont, Chevron. This award was #2 in the nation.

Louise Smith, on behalf of the Council, we very much appreciate this award. Oh, sorry, I just threw up a little. Jim Nunan is back with KCI Technology. This is the same man that was in the earlier County Press Conference earlier today referencing the comprehensive plan.

By the way, if you're following this Post you'll need to keep hitting refresh to see any updates.

I have just received documents in which I'll post later PROVING David Moore was in fact applying for an Enterprise Zone for the new 15 Residential Condo Units and nothing towards commercial. Oh, things are now going to get VERY interesting. I have signed up to speak in order to present these documents to the Council. The funny part is, they'll probably approve this before I can provide the evidence.

Greg Latshaw from the Daily Times has walked out in order to meet their deadline. The Times could have brought in their own laptop and stayed later but they still choose to go the old school way.

The Salisbury Zoo, Public Works Inspectors recognized maintenance and public safety at the Zoo is a problem the boardwalk in the Bison area. The Zoo Commission has donated $10,000.00 worth of lumber to repair and replace that lumber needed and it passes unanimously.

Mr. Moore is present and Pick is expressing Moore put in more than $200,000.00 worth of improvements to the commercial portion of this property. Wilber refuses to make any statement towards how he sees things.

Pick, "I do not know the exact method at the Department of assessment and taxation." Campbell is again asking to bring it back to a work session for a full understanding on this proposal so they can make an educated decision. They're waiting for a motion. Personally, I think Mr. Moore has some pretty big ones asking for this. I'm not saying he's not an asset to this community, he is. However, this is a ridiculous request.

Mr. Moore is approaching. We included sprinkler heads, an elevator for all 50,000 sq. ft. Mr. Moore doesn't realize that he had to do all of the above in order to get the residential condos. He wants 3/4 of his building for enterprise zone.

Mr. Moore is being very cocky and interrupting Debbie Campbell time and time again. He's challenging Mrs. Campbell's interpretation of the State Website information. All Debbie is asking for is to take it to a work session to make sure they're properly educated and everyone needs to know this was just brought to the Council today and they're trying to push it through at the last second, once again.

They denied Debbie's motion to bring it back to a work session. The amendment passed will clearly state they will only vote it through with language that this is for the commercial space only. However, I still don't believe he's improved the commercial space for the proper reasons to receive an enterprise zone status.

The main portion of the meeting is over and they're now in public comments.

BIG F**KING DEAL!!!!!!

So I bet he was flown down there for a free vacation at Taxpayers Expense!!

What is a viatech award? Is the innovative work related to: building a fire station that is sinking into the marsh?

Hey how long is this guy gonna speak, what happened to time limits?

Is that Moore from Moore & Layfield? If any one of us talked to Louweasle the way Moore talked to Debbie Campbell we would have been ejected from the session. He's another POS here in this declining municipality. How come he gets info from Pick when other citizens are directed to submit questions to department heads in writing with little or no response? Isn't that called preferential treatment? And his claim as to his primary residence, I look at that application as a fraud in the works.

What is a viatech award? It is an award to see who can bleed the taypayers the most.

Wow... it's almost as if the city officials are just begging for scamers to come and take the money. And take it they will. I watched the Pac14 circus this evening and heard Moor say that he wanted that money and wanted it now HaHaHa. Enterprize zone my azz, like Joe said "there are many business people in the city that are as qualified" I think all you guys should apply for this free money.

An award for innovvative construction work on the new Firehouse. Where is this innovative work on this pole barn with a faulty concrete floor. Did this organization inspect this finish product? Do they have any costruction knowledge to make this type of informative decision for an award? Another Tax Payer ripoff with this so called trip.

As a Tax Payer, I want to see the legal opinion since this a contradictory issue and violates the guidelines or do we not want an opinion until it goes to Court? I forgot the City Attorney does not prevent Court cases or render opinions for the Tax Payer only for their Good Ole Boys. Right Mayor and Mr Moore. Mr Moore what tax breaks will you receive or what wii this cost the Tax Payer for your business screw up?

Mr. A:

Love your live commentary, and I read it as it happened while watching the meeting on TV. What a crass performance by Moore (like his father, but much worse), and kudo's to Ms. Campbell for not telling him to _uck off.

The public comments, yours included, were great. Especially Tim Spies -- if he him beat Comegys last year we would be so much better off -- and the lade from Pinehurst who really cleared the deck.

Did Barrie Tilghman leave early as usual? Guess she's still getting that budget message done for delivery tomorrow -- I can't wait.

She was in a hurry to catch Happy Hour.

Joe:

I just put money in my house -- complete new roof and driveway, etc. -- so can I get one of those "enterprise" tax breaks?

David Moore was downright rude! I watched it. "That's YOUR interpretation." He talked to Campbell like she was an idiot.

Jerk.

Was David Moore misrepresenting himself on the application or in what he said. From what you said, tonight, Joe, sounded like he was FOS on one or the other.

The administration CONSTANTLY puts the council in these stupid positions. Campbell and Cohen did their best, but with those three albatrosses around their necks, it's hard for them to get the right thing done.

I wanna know, who paid for Gordy to go to New Orleans to get that award?

LOVED the public comments tonight! Keep 'em comin', Salisbury!

I love this instant reporting thing from the GOB, too. Sounds like a boxing narration!

Oh, THAT's another thing! That "privileged and confidential" document...I'd like to know what the hell is in that. Both Campbell and Cohen seem to think it shouldn't be, and I trust them.

Is this anything like the Open Meetings Act where you can get the attorney general's office to decide whether it's right to be withheld or not?

Joe, reading this as it goes is great since I don't get PAC-14. And since I don't have to watch, I don't throw up! But I do miss seeing the 2 lovely ladies, Debbie and Terry, who are the only good thing to happen to this city in a long, long time. I applaud them both for their efforts and their intestinal fortitude. And had Tim Spies not been smeared and lost to Bubba, the city woudl be in a much better place now, and Moore could kiss their assets!

David Moore's arrogance and condescending demeanor was uncalled for. Well, he made himself look like a schmuck-IMHO.

Maybe he represents the village of Tony Tank.

Nalagirl.

David Moore is a sleazebag slumlord and attorney . His own personal life has been a history of cocaine abuse and adultery. What a fraud! He was in bed with a fellows wife and got caught, later the guy blew his brains out. Yeah David you are one admirable guy. You will get yours eventually.

About a year ago city employees were told that they were not alowed to travel outside our time zone for any reason. There were some that wanted to take some seminars but could not because of this new rule. What happened? Is the fire dept, exempt? Why do the rules just fall on the little people and not the big shots. By the way, is it true the fire dept, wants a heliecopter? For what? What in the hell could they do with that.
