Fernando Guerrero, now 6-0 Salisbury MD fought Anthony Bowman, 7-29 Jackson MS. and knocked the man OUT in the 3rd of 6 rounds!
I received a call this afternoon from our Friend and Fernando's Trainer Hal Chernoff explaining how his fight last night went.
In the first round, Fernando toyed with Bowman and did what they call, feeling him out. In the second round Fernando started getting more and more comfortable in the ring and knocked Bowman onto the canvas for a standing 8 count. He survived the round but things got even more serious in the 3rd round when Fernando quickly knocked him down once again as Bowman received yet another standing 8 count. He was able to get up and continue the fight but Fernando quickly went in for the kill and knocked him down for a second time in the 3rd round, this time Bowman told the Referee he couldn't continue.
Fernando got the TKO and continues his Professional Career undefeated with a 6-0 record. Fernando and Hal are back in Salisbury as we speak and again our Congratulations goes out to this young man once again. Great work guys!

Of course, Fernando is the man by all definitions...I just hope the fine folks out here know what a selfless job Hal Chernoff has done on nearly a nightly basis for twenty years...and his wife Nancy provides such structure and stewardship. Joe ,many thanks for taking on an often misunderstood cause that is bearing fruit for many of our "at risk" children.
