Be Careful Tonight!

A Salisbury Police Officer has wrecked a Patrol Car on Rt. 13 near Survival Products and as I was driving down Rockawalkin Road this evening a young lady lost control of her vehicle and went up an embankment scaring her half to death.

Fortunately she was not hurt and I do not have any firm details as to how the Police Officer is. That being said, the roads are starting to ice up and I suggest if you don't have to drive, DON'T!

Good post Joe. If you've ever suddenly been in"Black Ice" you'll appreciate his warning of staying off the roads. I hit a bad batch suddenly on Rt. 50 up near the college and watched cars go every which way and lots of them flipping over too, after spinning around a few times. Fortunately I slowed and stopped without incident. Then drove the rest of the way to Salisbury at 30 miles per hour, along with most of the traffic.

9:17 I really hope you do not work for SPD writing to a citizen like that. If you are: grow up stop embarassing us!

I spoke to a Salisbury Police Officer this morning. The officer involved in the accident is fine, but the car is totaled. Apparently, someone pulled out in front of the officer, he hit some ice, and hit a pole.

"Apparently, someone pulled out in front of the officer, he hit some ice, and hit a pole."

Sure that's his story and he's sticking to it. If he had hit someone the lights and siren would have been quickly turned on and half the SPD would have sworn he was in hot pursuit of something other than coffee at Ihop.
