"I got my SFD Begging letter the other day at the post office and immediately threw it away. I was shocked by the amount of those same letters I saw in the 3 trash bins. They were overflowing and the postal customers looked at me like I was crazy when I laughed out loud. What a joke that fire department is and I hope that everyone continues to throw those requests in the trash. Joe if I knew your number I would have called you to go out there and take a picture of these letters in the trash bins. ROTFLMAO"
Well, all I can tell you is the Salisbury Fire Department is not environmentally friendly, killing all those trees just for those letters and envelopes. LOL How much do you want to bet now they'll come back stating they did everything with recycled paper? OR, it was printed on Fire Proof Paper! I'd like a copy of this letter, if anyone has one available?

I would rather give my money to a crack starved homeless person than to give it to the fire department. They really need to revamp that whole dept. and get rid of these "guys". Bunch of transvesites.
I thought the Firefighters liked to tell people they are "professionals"--they are proving by their comments that they are anything but professional. They surely cannot stand for any type of criticism. Their comments are extremely bad.

They are far from professional and they are a liability to the residents and visitors of Salisbury. There are some serious problems going on inside the fire department and as a volunteer I have no say. I am treated like a second class citizen by the paid guys and the fire chief. The paid guys hate us volunteers and always talk about us and use words like "those f##king volunteers." David See has always hated us volunteers and used to cuss us out all the time. We were glad to get rid of him when he was a captain at station 2. He is one miserable man who hates everyone. You ought to hear him when he talks about that "bitch in the ivory tower." Can you guess who he is talking about?

Tarring everyone with the same brush again are we? I sincerely do not think that the responses here, especially the 5:56 PM or the 6:11 PM posts are indicitive of all fire fighters.
