Wicomico County Executive Richard M. Pollitt, Jr. has ordered a single blue light candle placed in Government Office Building windows during the holiday season. These replace the standard white light candles usually seen during this season. Pollitt explained that “Project Blue Light” has grown steadily across America as a way of remembering departed law enforcement officers. “It began in 1988,” said Pollitt, “when the mother-in-law of a Philadelphia police officer killed in the line of duty told COPS (Concerns of Police Survivors) members that she would place a blue light in her window over the holidays in memory of her son-in-law.”
Pollitt added that “the blue lights also honor those who serve us in law enforcement. In the past year, I have been made acutely aware of the hazards of this dangerous profession. We should all have great appreciation for what they do for us.”

Good for the County Government for this display of support for our deputies who put their lives on the line every day.
Timing is everything, but I hope this wasn't done to cover up their toying around with the deputies collective bargaining vote.
Every Agency does this, so in no way is it for that reason. They have done it for years
Is there a red light in the mayors office window? Seeing how she prostitutes herself to the landlords, developers and bankers (and some of her "johns" happen to be all three!) seems fitting.

The County Government has never done this. Where do you get your facts from?
