Electrical Inspectors Meeting

I think the City tried to pull a fast one on "everyone."

John Pick and Barrie Tilghman never invited the City Council to this meeting, which speaks volumes. Think about it Folks. Whenever they want something rubber stamped, they keep the Council out of the loop and bring everything to them at the last minute to vote on it. They are not educated, so they have no clue what the other side thinks, (in many cases) and pass something this Mayor WANTS!

Fortunately these Electricians took their letters seriously and showed up to pass judgment. The City was absolutely slammed and this time the City failed.

Salisbury News is onto their games any more and trust me, we too slammed John Pick with good questions they could not answer and they looked like fools.

That being said, Barrie Tilghman is trying to make things even worse now because she has instructed ALL department heads NOT to speak to ANY Council Member. This will further part YOU, (the taxpayers) from having an educated Council and they will rubber stamp even more. This also secured Salisbury News from knowing these events even take place. We get NO Press Releases or invitations from the City and or the SPD.

As a matter of FACT, during that meeting one of the Electricians said, where's the cameras? Where's the Press. John Pick said, there's a Reporter from the Daily Times sitting in the front row. He refused to recognize me at all. That's cool, I had the most impact on their final decision and I know that, as well as other Officials that were there from the County.

So, if anyone out there knows of ANY meetings the City is having, please contact me so we can cover the other side. Look at my article on that night and then the Daily Times. Do you know the difference between night and day?

Why weren't WBOC or WMDT there? Were they notified or was there just a "special invitation" to the Tilghman Times?

Excellent question/point!

My guess would be that they were NOT invited at the risk of the obvious getting out and a lack of control over the other Press.

Just an idea for future action. The next time you're at a City meeting and the turnout is heavy and the citizens are fired up, you might want to call the other media and tell them to get over there, that obviously from the turnout and the heat the citizens are giving the city, that something newsworthy is going on.

Funny thing is, I did call and no one enswered.

Thanks to Debbie Campbell this Barrie & Bubba Boondoggle is gonna be blown out of the water PDQ. She was the only City elected official who attended the meeting.

Check Barrie's "budget message" for the FY2008 budget -- this position was proposed as a way to get money by charging rates in excess of what it would cost to do the work (in theory, of course). Now that it's going down the drain, what happens to those funds that were put in the budget (part of that big tax rate increase is going for that).

Will Barrie have a free hand to spend that money for whatever she wants???

It will be interesting to see if the Chamber of Commerce supports its members who are electrical contractors on this -- Bellaciccio is a big Barrie booster.

Do ya think???

Please ask Barrie --- WHY

YES, Barrie tried to get by with this one, but got caught without much support. It just may be that our points are getting through to City officials? Do we dare hope so?
