Red Net Alert!!!!!

The Salisbury Waste Water Treatment Plant, (WWTP) has been fined $10,000.00 by the MDE for violations within the Sludge Pit #2.

The original fines were set at $25,000.00 but after an appeal by the City they have agreed to lower them down to $10,000.00 . NOW, that being said, this is WONDERFUL for the taxpayers. However, there's a catch!

The MDE knows the City was refusing to cooperate so they have set some VERY serious guidelines to the entire deal! They have till July, 2007 to remove 100% of the Sludge from Pit #2! IF they do NOT remove it by July the fine instantly goes to $50,000.00!

To TOP that, the MDE is refusing the allow the City to put this sludge through their own system, which is what the Mayor and Jacobs were shooting for! They must remove it all or they will be slammed with the $50,000.00 "administrative penalty" fine!

There's no screwing with this consent order Folks, it's final! Here's what I'd like everyone to think about. The Mayor and John Jacobs wanted to hire Wilber and another Firm out of Virginia to handle this appeal. Everyone knows it cost more than $15,000.00 in legal fees to try to get something reduced, and for what? Between the legal fees and the $10,000.00 fine, they're at an easy $25,000.00 anyway.

Then on top of that they had hoped they could process this Sludge through their own Plant and they completely failed. So at Taxpayers expense, they not only BROKE THE LAW, they tried fighting the MDE and IMO they lost their rear ends because now they/YOU will have to front at least $200,000.00 to $1,000,000.00 to remove the Sludge!

CHECK MATE BARRIE TILGHMAN!

By the way, Barrie is probably reading this here first as the MDE made sure I was the very first to receive the news!

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST!

The fine of $10,000.00 PROVES they were Breaking the Law!

The MDE was VERY gentle to the Taxpayers and they know for a fact there's NO WAY Barrie Tilghman will comply and quite frankly she doesn't give a shit, it's your money!

Let it also be recognized that although they knew for a fact they were going to get fined, they did NOT budget for this possibility!

The City of Salisbury is financing themselves to the hilt and paying back developers when they CANNOT afford to do so!

Next you'll be hearing if it wasn't for Joe Albero the City wouldn't be in such a desperate state, similar to what Jacobs tried to claim.

Looks like ym case is going to get more serious from here on out. Ooooweee, I'm scared! Can't wait to see you in Court now Barrie!

Earnest T,

I just confirmed that to be a fact. If they do NOT comply there could be criminal ramifications.

$50,000 is chump change when you are spending someone else's money. They should be held personally responsible.

Start sending the letters then. Can't hurt.

I've seen this, municipalities in violation, many times before and sadly there does seem to often be a delay of some sort before any action is taken. Now you let it be a private system, water or sewer, amd they're getting the cuffs out. They truly get off on intemidating private system operators, They tried this with me on several systems,I was naive too, and I finally told the owners of the properties they needed to find somebody else. This really pissed MDE off as I wouldn't tell them who the new operator was other than to say he's at least got a class 3 liscense and I'm sure they will be in touch. Oh and when I talked to the field guy I told him he was exactly what was wrong with affirmitive action, have a nice day and don't call me anymore 'cause I won't answer. Now as for the city of Salisbury and the operator (operators) of record God help them because Barry and her clowns have no doubt made the working conditions less than enjoyable at both Drinking Water and Sewer Water plants in the city of Salibury.
