Salisbury's Best Kept Secret

Ladies & Gentlemen,

As often as I go out to lunch each and every week to different places, this place, "Mainlake Cafe" just across the street from Brew River has got to be the finest place I've visited for lunch out of them all.

When we start walking towards the front door I thought, I don't know about this place? We walked in and we were greeted by the owner who was very kind and has a great personality and sense of humor. The food was very reasonable and the portions were out of this world! We've been there two days in a row now, it's that good.

This is owned by a single mother struggling locally to make a go of it and my suggestion to "ALL" of you is, give it a shot and I can assure you you'll not be disappointed. Far too often we see gems like this not surviving because we don't support our locally owned businesses and I'd hate to see this one fail because not enough people knew about it.

Let them know where you heard about it and they'll take care of you, you'll see.

PB,

There's a parking lot directly across the street, next to Brew River. Wait till you try this joint, it's fantastic!

Yes, Yes, Yes,
The waftng aroma of dead chickens intertwined with the fresh scent of sewerage drifting in the river makes me just want to drive right over and have a dish "Poultry ala Poop". Isn't this right next to where the "Lock and Load" bar and "Sam's Soul Food" use to be located. Be sure to put your club on the steering wheel before you get out!
But seriously, that's great, I hope they continue to try and clean up that side of town, along the River. It's good to see entrepenuers willing to invest in the downtown area.
There has to be a good reason for people to want to come to Salisbury, run their boats up the river 17 miles for what? Good Food, nice shops, historic sites, the like. wouldn't it have been nice if the Ward Foundation had been built along the river front. Let's say within walking distance of the Marina. A board walk all the way from the park to the Marina, shops, festive atmosphere.
Ahhhh crap wake up for that pipe dream Rat! there isn't enough forsight in the Salisbury government to do something right for the community.

But yer right. Vision on the part of the City gov'mint? Not this "One for a Few, and Few for the One" crew.
