DNC Silent.

The Democrat National Committee (DNC) has elected to remain silent as its deputy chair, Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison, battles allegations of domestic violence from an ex-girlfriend.

Sierra Club activist Karen Monahan and her son have accused Ellison of physically and emotionally abusing her during their relationship, which is said to have ended in 2016.

Monahan claims to have a video of Ellison dragging her off of a bed and yelling expletives at her. She told CNN that she misplaced the thumb drive with the video on it while moving, but three of her friends (who remained anonymous) said that Monahan told them about the alleged incident in the months after she moved out of his apartment.

Three days after Ellison was first accused of abusing the woman, the DNC has declined to take any position on the allegations.

State Police Arrest Woman Twice For DUI In Less Than Twenty Minutes

(ROSEDALE, MD) – Maryland State Police arrested and charged a Baltimore City woman twice for DUI within twenty minutes.

The accused in both incidents is identified as Stephanie Ringgold, 33, of Baltimore City. Ringgold was charged twice with similar charges on Saturday, August 11, 2018. In both incidents, she was charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI), driving under the influence (DUI), driving under the influence per se and several other traffic charges related to the traffic stops.

During the first traffic stop, Ringgold also had a 4 year old, a 6 month old and another adult passenger in the vehicle. As a result, Ringgold was also charged with DUI while transporting a minor and DUI per se while transporting a minor. Both of these additional charges carry enhanced penalties.

Shortly after midnight on August 11, 2018, a trooper assigned to the JFK Highway Barrack was patrolling the area of Rt. 40 at Berk Lane when he observed a gray Dodge Charger exceeding the posted speed limit and passing a vehicle on the shoulder. After stopping the vehicle, the trooper observed signs of impairment as he made contact with the driver, later identified as Ringgold. Ringgold was subsequently arrested and transported to the Baltimore County Police Department, Essex Precinct, where she was processed and later released to a sober driver.

Less than 20 minutes later, the same trooper who arrested Ringgold was back on patrol when he observed her arrive back at her vehicle and get in the driver’s seat and drive away. Having just advised Ringgold she was not allowed to drive for 12 hours, he initiated another traffic stop on the vehicle and again, observed signs of impairment. Ringgold was subsequently arrested a second time, transported to the Baltimore County Police Department, Towson Precinct, where she was again processed and later released to a sober driver.

As a result of her second arrest, Ringgold was again charged with DWI, DUI and DUI per se. She was also charged with driving a motor vehicle within 12 hours after a DUI arrest. A court date for Ringgold has not been set at this time.

The Martyrs of Otranto: Lessons from Christian Victims of Jihad

A little remembered event that occurred 538 years ago today – the ritual decapitation of 800 Christians who refused Islam – sheds much light on modern questions concerning the ongoing conflict between Islam and the West.

Context: Though primarily remembered for sacking Constantinople in 1453, because Ottoman sultan Mehmed II was only twenty-one years old then, he still had many good decades of jihading before him. He continued expanding into the Balkans, and, in his bid to feed his horses on the altar of Saint Peter's basilica – Muslim prophecies held that "we will conquer Constantinople before we conquer Rome" – he invaded Italy and captured Otranto in 1480. More than half of its twenty-two thousand inhabitants were massacred, five thousand led away in chains.

To demonstrate his magnanimity, Mehmed offered freedom and security to 800 chained Christian captives. All they had to do was embrace Islam. Instead, they unanimously chose to act on the words of one of their numbers: "My brothers, we have fought to save our city; now it is time to battle for our souls!"

Outraged that his invitation was spurned, on August 14, on a hilltop (subsequently named "Martyr's Hill"), Mehmed ordered the ritual decapitation of these 800 unfortunates. Their archbishop was slowly sawed in half to jeers and triumphant cries of "Allah akbar!" (The skulls and bones of some of these defiant Christians were preserved and can still be seen in the Cathedral of Otranto.)

Now consider what this event says about current realities.

Massive Efforts Made to Hide Nellie Ohr’s Involvement in ‘Spygate’ – She May Be the Link Between Former CIA Head Brennan and His Boss – Obama

As the details behind the Spygate scandal are uncovered, the connections to former President Obama are unearthed.

According to Zero Hedge, the head of opposition research firm Fusion GPS admitted in December 2017 in a court filing that his firm paid the wife of a senior Justice Department official to help dig up damaging information on then-candidate Donald Trump.

Glenn Simpson, co-founder of Fusion GPS, filed the signed declaration in a D.C. court this week affirming that Nellie Ohr, wife of demoted DOJ official Bruce Ohr, was contracted by Fusion through the summer and fall of 2016 “to help our company with its research and analysis of Mr. Trump,” according to the filing. The House Intelligence Committee determined that in November 2016, Simpson met with Bruce Ohr shortly after the election to discuss their findings regarding Russia and Trump. Bruce Ohr lost his senior-level position at the DOJ as associate deputy attorney general after his meetings with Simpsonand British spy Christopher Steele, who assembled the Trump-Russia dossier, were discovered.

Strzok's firing reveals the scandal at the FBI's Office of Professional Responsibility

Because Trump-haters already are donating hundreds of thousands of dollars to Peter Strzok's GoFundMe begathon, they are likely to fund his lawyers making an issue of his firing. The fact that the deputy director of the FBI overruled the Office of Professional Responsibility's recommendation for a mild penalty of a 60-day suspension and a demotion will no doubt be a centerpiece of their argument that politics reared its ugly head, and he is a martyr.

Good.

Sara Carter, with many sources within the FBI, lays out the case that the OPR acted with bias and needs reform. I recommend that you read the whole thing, but here are some excerpts:

[W]hat could have led FBI Deputy Director David Bowdich, to make the decision to overrule OPR? ...

Former FBI special agents, some of whom worked with OPR for years, said they agree with Bodwich's decision. They told SaraACarter.com that the system is broken and Bodwich had no other choice but to step in and fire Strzok. They say political leanings, friendships and dual systems of justice inside OPR have plagued how cases regarding FBI agents are adjudicated and handled.

Democrat Rep. Frederica Wilson: 'Trump is a white supremacist'

Rep. Frederica Wilson on Tuesday unleashed a tirade on President Trump for calling Omarosa Manigault Newman a “dog” on Twitter, saying the president is a “white supremacist” and “everything that comes out of that White House is racist.”

“He has taken this country to its knees,” the Florida Democrat told CNN’s John Berman. “The president of the United States is calling a woman of color a dog? How dare he!”

Child Hacks Florida Voting System Within 10 Minutes

An 11-year-old boy managed to hack into a replica of Florida's election results website in 10 minutes and change names and tallies during a hackers convention, organizers said, stoking concerns about security ahead of nationwide votes.

The boy was the quickest of 35 children, ages 6 to 17, who all eventually hacked into copies of the websites of six swing states during the three-day Def Con security convention over the weekend, the event said on Twitter on Tuesday.

The event was meant to test the strength of U.S. election infrastructure and details of the vulnerabilities would be passed onto the states, it added.

The National Association of Secretaries of State, who are responsible for tallying votes, said it welcomed the convention's efforts. But it said the actual systems used by states would have additional protections.

"It would be extremely difficult to replicate these systems since many states utilize unique networks and custom-built databases with new and updated security protocols," the association said.

Mainstream media try to 'rewrite history' to credit Obama for Trump accomplishments

Since President Trump took office, the economy is booming, according to such reliable sources as federal agencies, analysts and data from the private sector.

That may not be good enough for the press, however.

The news media are seeking to “rewrite history” to credit former President Barack Obama for this feat, says one major business publication.

“The stronger the economy gets under Trump, the more desperate his critics are to hand credit over to Obama. Even if that entails changing the past,” says an Investor’s Business Daily editorial. “A recent New York Times story says it all: ‘An economic upturn begun under Obama is now Trump’s to tout’.”

Things were not always thus...

Pro-gay church plans to build worship space/brewery, donate profits to Planned Parenthood

A building in Santa Cruz, Calif., is being converted into a worship space and public brewery by a pro-gay church that plans to donate some of its beer proceeds to Planned Parenthood, according to reports.

Members of the Greater Purpose Community Church now meet on Sundays at a food lounge to pray, listen and drink beer, KNTV reports.

"There’s nothing in the Bible that says you can't drink alcohol in a responsible manner," Pastor Chris VanHall told the station.

Planned Parenthood has offices in the former bookstore VanHall plans to turn into a brewery by next summer, The Santa Cruz Good Times weekly newspaper reported.

“A church that serves beer and gives the profits away to places like Planned Parenthood is really exciting to me,” the pastor told the paper.

Santa Cruz’s recent Pride Parade included a contingent from Greater Purpose, the paper reported.

Trump Campaign Sues Omarosa; "Millions" Sought Over Broken NDA

President Trump's campaign on Tuesday filed charges against former aide Omarosa Manigault-Newman, claiming she violated a 2016 nondisclosure agreement (NDA) by disparaging the president in her new book, and secretly recording conversations with Trump and White House chief of staff John Kelly, the latter of which took place in the ultra-secure Situation Room - a SCIF (Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility) when Kelly fired her last December, reports the Washington Examiner.

In New York, Trump campaign lawyers filed for arbitration to force the former star of “The Apprentice” to abide by the agreement they say she signed when joining the 2016 campaign.

According to a sample of the agreement provided to Secrets, she was required to keep proprietary information about the president, his companies or his family confidential and to never “disparage” the Trump family “during the term of your service and at all times thereafter.” -Washington Examiner

A Trump campaign official said in a statement "Donald J. Trump for President, Inc. has filed an arbitration against Omarosa Manigault-Newman, with the American Arbitration Association in New York City, for breach of her 2016 confidentiality agreement with the Trump Campaign," adding "President Trump is well known for giving people opportunities to advance in their careers and lives over the decades, but wrong is wrong, and a direct violation of an agreement must be addressed and the violator must be held accountable."

In her book, Unhinged: An Insider Account of the Trump White House, and especially on her controversial book tour on TV, she has turned on her former friend and employer, calling him unfit for office. She claimed he used racist language during the filming of “The Apprentice,” but insiders and Trump deny the claim. She has also revealed private conversations she had with Trump and others, including from the secret White House Situation Room, a potential violation of federal law. -Washington Examiner

Trump referenced the NDA in a Monday Tweet:

Wacky Omarosa already has a fully signed Non-Disclosure Agreement!

New Mexico Judge Releases Jihadi Terrorist Camp Suspects Despite Pleas By Sheriff, FBI

A New Mexico judge on Monday agreed to release five suspects arrested on child abuse charges at a New Mexico camp, against the wishes of both the sheriff's department and the FBI, which described the group as "heavily armed and considered extremist(s) of the Muslim belief."

Judge Sarah Backus ordered the suspects - Siraj Ibn Wahhaj, 40, Lucas Morton, 40, Jany Leveille, 35, Hujrah Wahhaj, 37, and Subhannah Wahhaj, 35 - released on $20,000 bond each Monday evening, reports the Taos County Sheriff's Office. They will be required to wear ankle monitors and maintain weekly contact with their attorneys, and were ordered to cooperate with the New Mexico Children Youth and Families division (CYFD) where the eleven children the sheriff says were being trained to commit school shootings, are being held in protective custody.

CONUNDRUM

The definition of the word Conundrum is: something that is puzzling or confusing.

Here are six Conundrums of socialism in the United States of America :

America is capitalist and greedy - yet half of the population is
subsidized.

Half of the population is subsidized - yet they think they are victims.
They think they are victims - yet their representatives run the
government.

Their representatives run the government - yet the poor keep getting
poorer.

The poor keep getting poorer - yet they have things that people in other countries only dream about.

They have things that people in other countries only dream about - yet they want America to be more like those other countries.

Think about it! And that, my friends, pretty much sums up the USA in the 21st Century. Makes you wonder who is doing the math.

These three, short sentences tell you a lot about the direction of our
current government and cultural environment :

We are advised to NOT judge ALL Muslims by the actions of a few
lunatics, but we are encouraged to judge ALL gun owners by the actions of a few lunatics.

Funny how that works. And here's another one worth considering...

Seems we constantly hear about how Social Security is going to run out of money. But we never hear about welfare or food stamps running out of money? What's interesting is the first group "worked for" their money, but the second didn't.

Think about it.....and Last but not least :

Why are we cutting benefits for our veterans, no pay raises for our
military and cutting our army but we are not stopping the payments or benefits to illegal aliens.

Am I the only one missing something here?

Let this sink in....

2,700,000 U.S. kids have a parent in prison.

400,000 kids are in foster care.

And 765,000 kids are separated from their military parents not knowing if they'll see them again.

But the lamestream media focuses on 2,000 kids who are temporarily separated from illegal immigrants who broke the law.

Governor Larry Hogan Announces 49 Companies Expected To Create Nearly 2,000 Jobs Through More Jobs for Marylanders Program

Tier 1 Benefits Expanded To Five Additional Counties, Program Attracts More Than 120 Manufacturers

ANNAPOLIS, MD -
Governor Larry Hogan today announced that in just over one year since the launch of the More Jobs for Marylanders program, 124 companies have indicated that they plan to either locate in Maryland or expand within the state to benefit from the program. Of those companies, which include firms both from Maryland and other states, 49 have filed official enrollment applications and are projecting to create nearly 2,000 jobs in total. Also, the program has been expanded to include five additional counties where manufacturers creating new jobs will receive the highest benefits.

“In its first year, this highly successful program has done exactly what it was designed to do: attract and grow businesses, create jobs, and put people to work,” said Governor Hogan. “Now, with the expansion of More Jobs for Marylanders to five additional jurisdictions, our administration will continue to further our goal of bringing job and business growth to the areas that need it most.”

The More Jobs for Marylanders Act was the centerpiece of Governor Larry Hogan’s 2017 Maryland Jobs Initiative and incentivizes manufacturers to create new jobs in the state. New manufacturers that locate in targeted jurisdictions and create at least five new jobs may qualify for income tax credits based on the number of jobs created, a state property tax credit, sales and use tax refund for specific purchases, and State Department of Assessment and Taxation fee waiver. Existing manufacturers that meet job creation criteria throughout the state may also qualify for the income tax credit.

Legislation adopted in the 2018 session of the Maryland General Assembly altered the qualification criteria and expanded the roster of targeted jurisdictions, known as “Tier 1 counties.” That list now includes Baltimore City and Allegany, Caroline, Dorchester, Garrett, Kent, Somerset, Wicomico, Washington, and Worcester Counties. Three additional jurisdictions—Baltimore County, Prince George’s County and, as of this month, Cecil County—have also been designated as “Tier 1 counties” at the discretion of the Secretary of Commerce.

Companies applying to the program range from manufacturers of metal, food, adhesives, wood, and other products, and represent the potential for hundreds of new jobs, particularly in areas of the state where unemployment is high. Recent More Jobs for Marylanders applicants include Tennessee-based Ring Container Technologies, a manufacturer of plastic containers than plans to create 19 jobs at a new manufacturing and warehousing facility, and California-based Fabricated Extrusion Company, which plans to create 50 jobs at a new headquarters and manufacturing facility over the next four years. Both companies are establishing their new facilities in the Hagerstown area.

“In its first 13 months, the More Jobs for Marylanders program has helped show manufacturers why Maryland is where they should grow and expand and has put us on track to add nearly 2,000 new jobs,” said Maryland Commerce Secretary Mike Gill. “It’s an important tool for economic development across Maryland, and we’re thrilled that it has expanded into additional target jurisdictions.”

More Jobs for Marylanders also offers workforce development resources including the Partnership for Workforce Quality matching grants for workforce training, workforce development scholarships for students in job training programs at community colleges, and a state income tax credit for the first year of employment of an eligible apprentice.
