"All my life I voted Democrat. I'm disillusioned."

I just turned 70. I saw the light during Obama's first term as the Democratic Party, of which I was a member since the late 1960s, became something unrecognizable. Hillary Clinton's candidacy and presidential campaign were the last straw. That was when I left the Party, never to return.
Since the election of Donald Trump, the Democratic Party has turned into a huge guerrilla movement, but without leadership that takes it in any good or functional direction. It's as if the head were cut off, the body runs around and the dismembered head is still squawking.

It's time for the Democratic Party to take stock of itself. It has no message save the tired racist rhetoric and pointless threats.
The Party's party is over, the band has left, as are the guests, in droves, and there's a huge mess left for those remaining, but instead of cleaning it up, they squabble and blame everyone else for it.
