In case you missed it, a new analysis of U.S. medical bills has found hospitals typically charge uninsured emergency room patients four times as much as they’d take from Medicare for the same service.
What’s more, the study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that ER patients routinely pay more than twice as much for healthcare services as they would be charged had they been performed in other parts of the hospital.
The research, by the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, involved an analysis of charges by 12,337 ER physicians and 57,607 internal medicine physicians at 3,669 hospitals. Among the key findings:
For a $100 treatment in the ER, some hospitals were charging patients up to $1,260.
Internal medicine services for ER patients without insurance were typically charged 4.2 times more than what Medicare would pay, with some hospitals charging 12.6 times more.

Sen. Mike Lee: 'No Evidence Whatsoever' of Russia-Trump Collusion, Move On
Sen. Mike Lee said Sunday that he doesn't believe fired FBI Director James Comey would lie under oath, but he also doesn't see any indication that there was potential for corruption or obstruction of justice.
"There is no evidence whatsoever of any collusion between the Russian government and any presidential campaign," the Utah Republican told ABC "This Week" host George Stephanopoulos. "If Robert Mueller [the special counsel] or anyone else uncovers evidence suggesting something else, then I am sure that will be pursued. We have to deal with facts that have been brought so far. I just don't see it. It's not there."
The fact that the Russian government tried to impact the 2016 election is not contested, said Lee, but "there is no evidence whatsoever of any collusion between the Russian government and any presidential campaign."

VIDEO: Auntie Maxine flees citizen journalist asking about HER financial ties to Russia
Even a citizen journalist holding a microphone taped to a wooden spoon was too scary for Maxine Waters because the single question he asked exposed her hypocrisy.
Fleccas, who regularly interviews leftists during protests in the Los Angeles area, caught up with Waters recently and brought up the subject of Russia.
But he turned the tables and asked her about her retirement investments in the country.
“We’re here protesting the ties to Russia,” Fleccas explained while standing next to Waters.
Then he sprung the trap.
“Maxine, what about your retirement fund ties to Russia — $200,000?” he asked.
“That’s a lie,” she replied and stormed off.

Delaware protects 'abortion rights' in new law
Delaware Gov. John Carney Jr. signed an abortion rights bill into law Thursday to prepare for restrictions on the practice that may come from the Supreme Court or the Trump administration.
The bill makes the provisions of Roe v. Wade, the 1973 Supreme Court decision that declared abortion legal, codified into state law.
"This new law is important because it says to women that you are important, that you have the ability to decide when to have a child, and the state supports you in making the decision that is best for you and your family," Elizabeth Nash, an analyst at the Guttmacher Institute, which tracks abortion policy, told Reuters.

McCain says American leadership was better under Obama
Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said American leadership was stronger under President Trump's predecessor, President Barack Obama, according to a Guardian report published Sunday.
Asked if the country stood on sturdier ground under Obama's leadership, McCain said "yes," according to the report.
“As far as American leadership is concerned, yes," said McCain, who also vocally criticized many of the Obama administration's foreign policy decisions.
McCain also lost to Obama when he ran as the GOP nominee in the 2008 presidential election.

Video Shows Trump Look-Alike Being Stabbed to Death During 'Shakespeare in the Park' Production
Startling video from New York City’s latest "Shakespeare in the Park" production shows a character that resembles President Trump being brutally stabbed to death.
William Shakespeare's "Julius Caesar," which will be performed throughout the summer in Central Park, is causing a stir among audiences due to its apparent inspiration from the Trump administration.
Footage from Tuesday evening's performance shows Caesar wearing a suit and tie. His wife, Calpurnia, bears a striking resemblance to First Lady Melania Trump.
There are other similarities to Trump, such as his dynamic hand gestures, as well as his constant tweeting, which he does from a bathtub.
Director Oskar Eustis told Playbill: "I decided to open our summer season with Julius Caesar as of November 9, 2016,” the day after Election Day.

3 Army Rangers killed, 1 wounded in Afghan solider attack, official says
Three Army Rangers were killed Saturday and one wounded when an Afghan army solider opened fire on them in an attack in eastern Afghanistan for which the Taliban claimed responsibility, officials said.

He said two American soldiers were killed and two wounded.
“The Afghan army soldier was killed in return fire,” he said.
A senior U.S. military official confirmed that three soldiers were killed in the attack and that they were Army Rangers. The wounded soldier was also an Army Ranger.

OF COURSE: Joe Biden’s Niece Gets NO JAIL TIME For $100K Credit Card Scam
Caroline Biden, the niece of former Vice President Joe Biden, defrauded a New York City pharmacy out of over $100,000. But she won’t be going to jail. It must be nice to have connections.
The New York Post reported:
Joe Biden’s niece dodges jail after $100K credit card scam.
The wild-child niece of former Veep Joe Biden stole more than $100,000 in a credit card scam — and quietly cut a plea deal in Manhattan court that spares her any jail time, The Post has learned.
Using a borrowed credit card, the blonde Caroline Biden set up an unauthorized customer account at Bigelow Pharmacy on Sixth Avenue in Greenwich Village, and racked up the six-figure bill over the course of a year, according to a criminal complaint that does not name the victim card owner.
As part of a plea deal before Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Kevin McGrath, Biden, 29, pleaded guilty to one charge of grand larceny and another of petit larceny and agreed to make restitution of $110,810.04.

Why Trump Fired Comey
He believed that the FBI director misled the public to think that the president was under investigation. At last, at least for your humble correspondent, this week’s big hearing brought clarity. I now believe President Donald Trump fired Federal Bureau of Investigation director James Comey because he believes Comey intentionally misled the public into believing Trump was under investigation by the FBI. There is enough support for this theory that, had the president been forthright in explaining it when he dismissed Comey on May 9, there might have been considerably less uproar. Instead, Trump dissembled, as he seems hardwired to do. He thus bought himself a debilitating special-counsel investigation, despite its being increasingly patent that there is no crime to investigate.
March 20 was the big day. Understanding why requires us to go back several weeks, to January 6, the day Trump and Comey first met.

Liberal Van Jones Shreds Hillary: 'They Took a Billion Dollars and Lit it on Fire'
It appears the lack of momentum in removing the Orange God from the Oval office is beginning to take its toll on the left. As reality sinks in and the hard facts of life with Trump become apparent, the left are eating themselves.
CNN's Van Jones shreds the Hillary campaign to pieces, only like a social justice warrior can.
"The Hillary Clinton campaign did not spend their money on white workers, and they did not spend it on people of color. They spent it on themselves," Jones told a packed house at McCormick Place in Chicago. "They spent it on themselves, let's be honest."
"Let's be honest," Jones continued. "They took a billion dollars, a billion dollars, a billion dollars, and set it on fire, and called it a campaign!"
"That wasn't a campaign. That's not a campaign."
Jones continued, attacking the Clinton campaign's reliance on consultants and polling data that proved to be wrong.
"A billion dollars for consultants. A billion dollars for pollsters. A billion dollars for a data operation, that was run by data dummies who couldn't figure out that maybe people in Michigan needed to be organized."
"And now they want us to fight about whether black folks or white workers or Latinos or any other group should get the money," Jones said. "First of all, you need to give the money back to the people, period."
"Quit getting rich off people's struggles," Jones finished.

WHAT IS AN INFIDEL?
The author, Rick Mathes, is a well-known leader in prison ministry.
The Muslim religion is the fastest growing religion per capita in the U.S., especially in the minority races. Not Catholics, not Mormons. Last month I attended my annual training session that's required for maintaining my state prison security clearance. During the training session there was a presentation by three speakers representing the Roman Catholic, Protestant & Muslim faiths, who each explained their beliefs.
I was particularly interested in what the Islamic Imam had to say. The Muslim gave a great presentation of the basics of Islam, complete with a video. After the presentations, time was provided for questions and answers. When it was my turn, I directed my question to the Muslim and asked:
‘Please, correct me if I'm wrong, but I understand that most Imams and clerics of Islam have declared a holy jihad [Holy war] against the infidels of the world and, that by killing an infidel, (which is a command to all Muslims) they are assured of a place in heaven. If that's the case, can you give me the definition of an infidel?’
There was no disagreement with my statements and without hesitation, he replied, " Nonbelievers” .
I responded, 'So, let me make sure I have this straight. All followers of Allah have been commanded to kill everyone who is not of your faith so they can have a place in heaven. Is that correct? The expression on his face changed from one of authority and command to that of a little boy who had just been caught with his hand in the cookie jar’
He sheepishly answered ….“Yes” I then stated, 'Well, sir, I have a real problem trying to imagine The Pope commanding all Catholics to kill those of your faith or Dr. Stanley ordering all Protestants to do the same in order to guarantee them a place in heaven!’
The Muslim was speechless.
I continued, 'I also have a problem with being your friend when you and your brother clerics are telling your followers to kill me! Let me ask you another a question:
Would you rather have your Allah, who tells you to kill me in order for you to go to heaven, or my Jesus who tells me to love you because I
am going to heaven and He wants you to be there with me?’
You could have heard a pin drop. Needless to say, the organizers and promoters of the 'Diversification' training seminar were not happy with my way of dealing with the Islamic Imam and exposing the truth about the Muslims' beliefs.
In 20 years there will be enough Muslim voters in the U.S. to elect the President !

'This is war': Florida sheriff urges citizens to arm themselves in case of attack

Wayne Ivey, Sheriff of Brevard County in Florida. (Brevard County Sheriff's Office Facebook)
Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey posted the video on Facebook Wednesday, two days after a deadly workplace shooting in nearby Orlando claimed the lives of five people.
“Folks, now more than ever is the time for our citizens to be prepared to serve as the first line of defense, not only for them, but for their families,” Sheriff Ivey said.
As images of the Fort Lauderdale airport shooting and Pulse nightclub massacre flashed on-screen, Ivey warned residents that attacks have happened locally as well as abroad.
