Maryland acquires 250K coronavirus rapid point-of-care antigen tests

Hogan said the $8 million acquisition of rapid tests will be deployed to nursing homes, assisted living facilities and correctional and juvenile detention centers across the state.

"This is the latest state-of-the-art technology in rapid testing, which will help to slow the spread of COVID-19, and help our states to speed up economic recovery," Hogan said.

The rapid antigen tests, which are called a "breakthrough" in the battle against COVID-19, cost about $30 each and are processed at the point of care with results on site in about 15 to 20 minutes.

Hogan said the rapid-testing results will be calculated separately from the molecular testing, for which results can take days to a week to be returned.

"This is a new generation of these rapid antigen tests, which is much more accurate," Hogan said.

I simply enjoy seeing people in dirty, sweaty chin straps. Or holding the mask down to yell.

What ever happen to lock down larrys test kits ?
Are they still in lock down too with security perfection ?

Why? Why do we need a test? If you catch the covid you will know it. Such a waste of money. Open things up, if you are sick, stay home, if you can't breathe go to the hospital. It's that simple. Who cares about testing and tracing. We have never, ever done it before. It's like leading sheep to the slaughter.

What am I missing? What is the point in administering this test to people who were in a more severe lock down situation then those who were out in the public?

Hogan what is your kick back this time for worthless test. You never revealed your / wife kick back from the $9 million Korea deal. Now you spend more tax dollars and will not reveal your kick back on this deal either.

Appears to be illegal dealings one right after another before you get out of office.

CORRUPTION.

The money isn't gone 11:38. It's in the pockets of The Hoggan family and their in-laws. Isn't the law being broken here? Test kits in quarantine? Whereabouts unknown of 9 mil worth of State property? Liberal Attn y. Frosh not asking ANY questions. Overtime being paid to St.Police an expense for National Guard to protect a ghost.
These tests will be sold to an unknown third party for a penance of the original cost to hide the evidence at an unknown time.
If this isn't malfeasance in office I don't know what is.
Wake up folks, this is your tax money hijacked. We should be united in exposure of this ruse even if the Feds have to do it.
