A former director of the NSA, the focus of the documentary, A Good American, who developed algorithms for a Federal program called “Thin Thread” that was shuttered 3 weeks prior to the 9/11 attacks, posted on Twitter that he knew where to find the data that Robert Mueller’s team reportedly wiped clean before it could be investigated.
“Re Muller team deleting text msgs: This won’t do. If gov wants those msgs, all they have to do is go to NSA Stellarwind data base and pull them out as all sms going over the cell network are captured & stored forever. @DevinNunes knows this,” Binney wrote.
Recently a Judicial Watch lawsuit by President Tom Fitton uncovered information suggesting that up to 30 phones containing text messages between the Mueller investigative team were damaged after they came into question in an investigation into their actions to find cause to remove President Donald J. Trump from office.
Lawmakers are calling for an investigation into the phone data.
