SALISBURY, MD---As Salisbury University prepares to welcome students to campus next week, members of the SU community are taking advantage of free COVID-19 testing offered by the University.
As of Friday, SU had tested more than 1,000 faculty and staff, as well as students already living in the Salisbury area. Only four — just .4 percent of those tested — showed positive results for COVID-19.
“Our faculty and staff have worked tremendously hard to create a safe atmosphere for students to return to campus this fall,” said SU President Charles Wight. “We are pleased to find such a low rate of COVID-19 among those who have been tested so far and we’re optimistic that trend will continue.”
The University System of Maryland has required all students, faculty and staff to provide negative COVID-19 test results prior to moving into campus housing or entering campus buildings. To better accommodate physical distancing policies, SU has expanded its normal one-day move-in to a full week, beginning Monday, August 24. Classes start Monday, August 31.

It doesn’t matter how many test positive. It matters how many are in the ICU and how many deaths are a real result of covid.
I think a more accurate way to do this, is to test when the kids get on campus, not way ahead of time.

here's what will happen. Between 16-20 kids will come down with it (just like UMES). Mommy and daddy will panic and pull the kids. BAM! All classes online for the fall and spring.
The whole thing is a scam- all these schools are bringing in the kids because they know that no kid in his right mind is going to pay 30k for zoom. Get the kids in, get their money, then close the school and send them home.
Won't matter 816 they can be negative in the morning and contract it by the afternoon and won't know it until they spread it around
Northwest Woodsman: Ok! I’ll volunteer to be the person who officially declares the Whu Flu pandemic over and we can lift all restrictions. I volunteer because no one seems to be willing to admit that we have been scammed and this whole issue has been a fraud. Albeit the mask industry has had tremendous profits as well as the rest of the flu industry but I stand by my declaration and you all can go back to your normal, pre-pandemic lives. There! Fixed the problem.
The PhDs (or pieces of horse dung) are trying to keep students there for a finite period of time because then they won't have to refund tuition costs. It is ALL ABOUT the MONEY. Safety of others is an after thought.

There are freshmen who have stated that all their classes are online. SU is doing this for one simple reason. $$$$ they self admittedly make all their money from getting the students living on campus ($$), having them get meal plans ($$) and paying for parking permits ($$). They are bringing them back for no other reason then financial benefit for SU, they do not have the students best interest in mind, if they did, they wouldn’t have these students come to campus when all their classes will be online anyway.
