Dismantling Student Loan Program Best Path to Fight ‘Leftist Indoctrination’ on Campus
Americans should demand better from their universities. Recent riots and vandalism taking place across the country have caused many to scrutinize what students are being taught in colleges. That scrutiny has even reached the White House.
President Donald Trump tweeted out a possible answer July 10 to the growing tensions and illiberal civic education in the ivory tower:
Removing the tax-exempt status of American colleges and universities is an idea that has been suggested by some segments of the policy sphere. One sympathizes: A 2020 study by The Harvard Crimson found substantial political homogeneity among the professoriate.
Tax churches, better yet tax billionaires. Many of our problems could be fixed by taxing the billions they made during the pandemic on other peoples misfortunes.
Universities are billionaires. Have colleges use monies from donors to eleviate student loans. Stop parents from co-signing useless student loans for their kids.
Wow, what a piece of work you are. Don’t know your schedule but I’m sure the president can work more hours while you sleep, than you do awake. And that is extra.
Now now..."he" is one voice. CONgress is the only entity which can produce and approve laws to then be sent for signature of the President. Prez can veto but CONgress has the authority to override a veto.
CONgress has and continues to be the hang up for the nations health. Prez can initiate executive orders but they become null and void when the President's term is over.
CONgress wheels the power and that's why the line item veto has been rejected by CONgress as well as their own Term Limit and their pay raises. We vote these ding dongs in...hence some of them being career employees in CONgress.

Depending on the major, and the diligence of the student, a great many college classes are very superfluous, and amount to a waste of both time and money.
College admission should be more rigorous to qualify for government backed loans. If the student and/or parents are footing the bill entirely perhaps less scrutiny is needed.
High Schools are handing out diplomas to anyone who occasionally shows up for class, and then those budding geniuses are admitted to college at their local CC. A high percentage must take remedial classes, without college credit, to achieve the baseline they were supposed to have mastered in HS. Many dropout during this period but Uncle Sugar won't be getting a refund if he/we were the payer.
Complicated topic, and we all want to see our kids make good career choices which provide them with autonomy and the ability to be both satisfied and self-supporting. Paying for junk classes and junk degrees is really a disservice to them. Think carefully before enrolling in the Eskimo Settlements of the Equator class!
Northwest Woodsman: Why do I suspect that 12:26 is a Pedomarxist democrat infiltrator? This president is actively engaged in trying to get our country back on the right track and out of the hands and control of the cultural Marxist agitators who are incrementally destroying the country through unprecedented violence. Although I would prefer that 12:26 go back to reading the NYT and watching CNN for all their news and information, it is sort of nice to have him comment to remind us that there are misguided, misinformed, misled and indoctrinated liberals out there that threaten our society through the means of voting or more appropriately, rioting. It helps us to never forget that people like that exist and how dangerous to our democracy they are. By the way, Obama probably played more golf than any President to date and we all know that Bill Clinton had his hobbies that provided a distraction to the business of running the country. Including, among others, probably a 13 year old.
Obama ruined student loans when he got his hands involved. Before he interfered interest and the loans were deferred for 6 months after you graduate and the interest rates were a lot lower. His reform destroyed the structure and it helped the universities get richer off of the backs of the poor just trying to better themselves and their futures. The way to go now is trade schools vs colleges, you get those degrees and have to take classes that will do nothing for your degree or your future. Come out of college and still can't get a job. Those classes that are mandated have nothing to do with your education, it all has to do with indoctrination. A must read is White Fragility by Robin DiAngelo among others on their lists. Maybe President Trump will make things better for the educations for the future of your youths.

Learn a Trade like assembly line and warehouse robot repair or programming self driving cars.
