Looters bagging over $375K in purses from NYC shop caught on video

Thieves clutched handbags by the armful as they swiped more than $375,000 worth of Hermes, Fendi, Louis Vuitton and Balenciaga swag in SoHo during looting early last week, new video released by the NYPD on Thursday shows.

The free-for-all at the Rebag store on West Broadway happened around 11:30 p.m. June 1 as looting at commercial establishments raged — with the Manhattan neighborhood known for high-end shopping hit particularly hard.

Video from the store that sells new and used designer handbags shows multiple masked men grabbing boxes and bags after breaking in through the front door.

After watching weeks of this chit, with no law and order all I will say is good for them. When the bad guys realize that the good guys will do nothing, no even show up. Good for them. No wonder they went to police precincts to main and humiliate. These hoodlums act as if they received a invitation in the mail. No I couldn’t and wouldn’t do it because I’m not a thief. On the other hand without a law presence it has to be mighty tempting. So again, good for them. Just don’t come to my place because I’m for law and order. Therefore you would meet with resistance, as President Donald J. Trump has the past year. Go Trump!

As is beginning to be obvious, these thieves are beginning to realize that they and their cell phones posting to Facebook aren't the only cameras out there. I look forward to seeing the arrest photos as they come forward.

Good! That junk is way overpriced anyway! Let them steal it all, and drive those high priced designers out of business!

Except I know all about Rebag. Been in that store 50 times or more. They claim the bags they are reselling are vetted but so many are fakes. Anyone can buy a fake complete with "documentation" and a "receipt" saying it was purchased at Saks, etc. All complete with a serial number that is legit when traced. Even the bags look the same are the same weight same number of stitches per inch as the real ones.

Problem is that the welfare queens will look normal in their stretch pants toting a $5,000 handbag using their WIC card at Walmart.

I hope every looter is caught and receives jail time. They hurt businesses which can result in them closing permanently, hurts the community, hurts revenue for the city and state, causes unemployment and possible lost jobs permanently, and the owners who put there sweat and in many cases all they had in the businesses, plus fights that can lead to real harm and death.

Reading most of the comments confirms what is really wrong in the world, even more so in the US. It's really sad what people have become and the justification people will use to be a useless member of society
