The coronavirus can live on a surgical mask for 7 days, cloth for 2 days, and paper for 3 hours. Here's how to disinfect surfaces properly.

How long the coronavirus could survive on surfaces

The researchers behind the new study tested the virus' lifespan in a 71-degree Fahrenheit room at 65% relative humidity. After three hours, the virus had disappeared from printing and tissue paper. It took two days for it to leave from wood and cloth fabric. After four days, it was no longer detectable on glass or paper money. It lasted longest, seven days, on stainless steel and plastic.

Strikingly, the authors wrote, of all the materials they tested, the coronavirus lasted longest on the outer layer of a surgical mask. On day seven of their investigation, the virus was still present on the outward facing side of the mask.

So I guess we should wear masks made from Newspapers. Well at least they are good for something.

But that dumbass Lori Brewster, Wicomico Health Officer in charge wants health care providers to wear the same masks every week?? What a moron! WTH is she in charge of the county health department? She is going to kill our healthcare providers.

If you follow where the information is coming from, they are talking about (sars cov 2) which is related but different from corona 19 .... If you read the Lancet Microbe report it is talking about (Sars-cov-2) further research look up world health and naming the coronavirus.... ask google about if Sars-Cov-2 is the same as Corona 19, they are related but different.... so the information about how long the virus lives on a surface, they are talking about SARS-COV-2 Not Corona 19.....

They don't really know anything. Just assume everyone is infected. Cover up accordingly. Undress in your garage and leave your shoes, everything out there in a black garbage bag for 4 days. Go inside and shower. Steam clean or pine sol your floors. You're probably bringing it into your house on your shoes.
