I'm glad for these young ideologues who think driving foreign made cars very fast in a circle in the middle of the street is a cool thing. They deserve the future they are about to get, which is terrible in every way.

Great news for OC bus drivers. Maybe we'll pick up another week's paycheck before they lay us off.

The mayor and city council talked a big game after the unofficial H2Oi week ended but it looks like they are failing to back it up. This will only give the participants fuel and more energy to feel like they can take over the town. The OCPD, Worcester County Sheriff’s Dept and MSP should feel let down by the town politicians.

Rickie, you allowed this to happen. 20 yrs ago City Hall failed to work with the group H2Oi...kept ignoring the challenges, then started clamping down which has caused the residue of problem children returning in Mass out of spite. Ignorance on the part of City "Fail" and yourself has required the move of sunfest. Ignorance and fear will be your legacy.

You bunch of whiny idiots, theres more than ample proof out there if you'll open your eyes. They're not moving it because of teens in cars, thats just the propaganda. They're moving it to extend the tourist season...thats what brings the money...if they could they'd legislate it to extend all year long. Open your eyes people.

Is nothing sacred anymore? Next OC will be moving Festivus!

On a more serious note weather in early October can be capricious and there are other longstanding events that are clustered in October. Time will tell.

5:00 PM - I am sure that most of the cars have something illegal. Seems like police do not mess with illegal vehicles anymore. Illegal lights, tires too large, excessive noise. This doesn't even take into account the reckless driving. I remember a time when these things were enforced. But it is OC so it does not impact my September, October, or any other month for the matter.

just gives oc a reason to try to stretch out their season longer! won't work! money grubbing whores!

What's "illegal" in MD, isn't illegal in many of the states those cars are registered in. And Maryland can't enforce equipment violations that are not illegal where the cars are registered. The MD cops just can't do that, so don't think that is, or could be, some kind of solution. OC is stupid to try an enforce the event out of existence. Those kids are determined! And they will be determined, responsible adults someday (the kind everybody likes). OC should be studying ways to accommodate them and make money off of them, rather than trying to fight everything they do. Give them a safe place to show off their cars and burnout skills, and make money off of them like they do all the other tourists and special interest groups. Making them the "enemy" of OC only makes them want to act like the enemy to OC. I don't blame them for acting out and fighting back.
