I'm just wondering why a single-family home in California is required to have a fire sprinkler system, but a boat sleeping 46 people isn't required to have sh!t for fire protection and the safety of all souls on board.

How the hell do you get room for 46 people to sleep on a 75 foot boat?

This is going to be a tricky one. I think they just changed the laws in Ohio. This was not an attached garage. It was about 20 feet from the house. They also were not stellar citizens. Both were drop outs that have been in trouble before. They were in the garage to smoke some dope, so the family says.
