Rep. Harris Announces Two Federal Aviation Administration Awards for Eastern Shore Airports

 

WASHINGTON, D.C. – On Monday, July 29th, Rep. Andy Harris, M.D. (MD-01) announced two Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) awards: $173,578 for the Ocean City Municipal Airport, and $315,355 for the Cambridge-Dorchester Regional Airport. The awards will fund removal of tree obstructions from runway approach surfaces at each airport.

Congressman Harris made the following statement on the FAA awards:

“I support efforts to grow the Eastern Shore economy. The award of these federal grants to local airports helps sustain and build transportation infrastructure important to employers, employees, and our communities. I applaud the Federal Aviation Administration for their investment in local airports in the First District.”

I have flown out Cambridge many times
Except for the trailer park to the wnw there aren't any trees that I remember.
Glad to see civil aviation getting some attention however.
