Disneyland has become a ‘ghost town’

To say that Disneyland’s new Star Wars-themed Galaxy’s Edge land is a big deal would be an understatement. The highly anticipated $1 billion, 14-acre immersive expansion was the biggest in park history. As of its June opening, visitors can pilot the Millennium Falcon, build lightsabers and drink blue milk. The hype over the new attraction’s products has even caused people to steal branded sporks, of all things.

To ensure that the park wouldn’t be mobbed with Star Wars fans, Disneyland wisely put some crowd-control measures in place; Galaxy’s Edge was only accessible to those with reservations until June 23. But it seems that the measures worked too well, depending on whom you ask.

This week, long after the reservation embargo, the park is empty. Well, empty for Disneyland.

That’s right — if you visit Disneyland right this minute, you’ll find a scene out of your theme park dreams: Pulling up to your favorite ride and hopping right on with little to no wait. It’s even being called a “ghost town” by some visitors.

Paying $40illion for the executive salary and $200 entrance SCREW U.

Well, $25 to park your car, $125 adult entrance fee, (adult fee on anyone over 10), then you got more fees for speed pass, cost of time in the Starwar part, food and drinks. Each day visit for family of 4 is almost $1000.00

They should make a ghetto themed exhibit featuring that African American family beating the crap out of each other there a few weeks ago! That topped any show Disney's put on for years!

a study conducted by the Economic Roundtable, a nonprofit research organization that found that three-quarters of Disneyland employees can’t afford rent, food and gas. More than one in 10 Disneyland Resort employees report having been homeless or not having a place of their own to sleep in the past two years.

I had a Lampoon vacation moment many years ago at Disneyland in Anahiem CA back in 1971. After driving and camping across the country, and eventually settling in with my brother in Santa Anna, I made a plan to drive over to Disneyland to spend a day. Lo and Behold, when we got there, IT WAS CLOSED! The whole theme park had been rented for the day by General Electric for their employees. Wow, I always wondered what it cost to rent Disneyland for a day....
