A judge ordered records to be unsealed from “Empire” star Jussie Smollett’s criminal case, a move that will reveal more information about the controversy surrounding the 36-year-old actor.
Cook County Judge Steven Watkins made the decision Thursday after attorneys representing media outlets pushed to get the records unsealed.
Smollett was accused of hiring two individuals to fake a hate crime against him for his personal benefit and was charged with 16 felonies. The records were sealed after all charges against Smollett were suddenly dropped in March by Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx.

Good!
This was all politically motivated and bungled at the mayor and Foxx's levels, just another example of how Chicago is lost under Democrats.
And as soon as it was sealed that idiot Smullet started back with the "I didnt do nuffin"
POS.
Also let congress go fishing into the bank accounts and other finances of the prosecutor. Go after a person involved in "Collusion".
Records are deleted and gone my goodness folks it’s Chicago.
Foxx's office gets to determine how the records are doled out. Does this mean that she might actually prosecute to keep evidence within the records confidential?
If the records have Obama on them you won't see them.
Jussie and his big mouth. "Hey, look at me. I got caught, and still got away with it" What an idiot. He thought he could get away with anything with his black connections and his Obama connections....and brag about it. Now that the case is unsealed, federal charges may be forthcoming. No double jeopardy there. HaHa Jussie, you and your big mouth.....
