Remember when the guy came to the house and fixed the TV ? I was always enthralled to see all the glowing tubes. His snub nosed van was like a rolling Radio Shack. Great meticulous man. Now you just toss out the TV and get a wider flatter one. The lock smith was cool like that too and the Vet and the horse shoeing Farrier. The Chimney sweep and the the rough gals that use to come and pump out the septic tank. LOL. They sent you type written bills and you wrote and mailed checks. We trusted them and they trusted us it was not just commerce. We were getting along and they were too no windows of delivery or repair waiting. Now you call and spend hours on hold speaking to someone with poor English. Things use to be simple and local and you knew people you sent them Christmas Cards and Gifted the Mailman and news paper deliverer . Ok I am showing my age. I do miss those times though.

they were called curb feelers! how about 33 rpm vinyl records or even older the old tube style. anything not made out of plastic!
Loved bottle deposits, go out Saturday along the road and collect enough money for a movie and popcorn
As a kid it was great to run around and collect deposit bottles people threw away! We could get a free soda cashing them in!
All, loved collecting deposit bottles in order to get candy or another soda!!
