BALTIMORE (WBFF) The Maryland Department of Health has confirmed a measles case in a Maryland resident.
The Department says that anyone who visited 4000 Old Court Road in Pikesville on Tuesday in Baltimore County may have been exposed to measles. Possible exposure times were from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The location is an office building with multiple medical practices.
People who may have been exposed at other locations are being notified directly. Measles is a contagious vaccine-preventable viral infection, which is easily spread to un-vaccinated people through coughing, sneezing and secretions from the mouth. The measles virus can stay in the air for up to two hours.

Incorrect. "Anti Vaxxer"s" have been around since vaccines were first developed and after many of the disease were eradicated in the US. What we are seeing is a direct result and nothing else other then being related to the outbreak in South America. Last year measles killed over 100,000 people in South America. Immigrants both illegal and those crossing at the check points are to blame----and no one else. The over crowding at the detention centers makes it difficult if not nearly impossible to identify and quarantine infected detainees.
