Maryland Senate votes to abolish the state's Handgun Permit Review Board; measure moves to House

The Maryland Senate approved a bill Monday night that would abolish the state’s Handgun Permit Review Board.

The 30-16 vote now moves the measure to the House of Delegates for consideration.

Some lawmakers and gun control advocates have raised concerns about the board, saying it has been too permissive in overturning and modifying Maryland State Police decisions on handgun permits.

Handgun owners who want to carry their guns with them must prove to the Maryland State Police that they have a “good and substantial” reason to carry the guns, under state law.

Screw em, they dont care about your safety, remember that. They always ask for the public's help to solve the crimes and do their job for them. They claim they can't be every where at once. This means no protection for you and your family, but they dont want you to protect yourself. So now we know IT IS NOT ABOUT YOUR SAFETY.

We need to join the 14 other states that honor the 2nd. amendment and no permit is required, it is a right that "Shall not be infringed".

Of COURSE they will abolish it...bit by bit, the rights of responsible gun owners are taken away...that is what socialists and communists need to do--disarm the people!

Now we have no recourse. Hogan has to veto this if it passes to keep his campaign promise. Problem is he does not have the "balls". Hogan said he would lax the gun laws and he has joined the Democrats in destroying the 2nd Amendment in MD.

Read the policy it is a value of money over people. People who carry sums of money are valued over anyone else. Its not the people they care about, its the money.

You all stupid people get that???? In black and white??? Where they said, it is becasue the review board over turns their author-i-tay...

10:00 AM: Remember what??? You people are to stupid to remember anything, which is why we are in this mess in the first place... You all seem to forget real quick about real issues... Funny how that works huh...

All you people have to do is start the recall process, and show these ass hats you mean business and if they vote for this bill, they will be on the list to be recalled... There are enough people in Maryland who want to succeed, so if there are enough for that, there are enough to recall this Governor or any politician in the state of MD... The problem is you just don't give a crap enough about this to do anything about it, which is why your here on a blog complaining about how these people you voted for and what and how they go about their business...

It is hilarious watching you clowns go back and forth over what makes you mad "supposedly" and what your "not going to take anymore" bullshit statements, all the while you keep getting stuck in the ass by the politicians and you do nothing...

Frankly, if a law is all it takes to disarm you then you have no need for the firearm to begin with. If there is ever a need for a revolution it isn't going to be done legally, you will be declared a terrorist by the current people in power, and you will face court martial and execution. Knowing that, if or when asked will you fight and die for your Constitution, choose carefully. Both have life changing consequences and neither end pleasantly.

Maryland will NEVER "give" us our rights until the Federal government (SCOTUS) makes them give us our rights. It is getting closer every day. They made DC give their citizens the right to carry without having to prove a need. The right lawsuit just hasn't been filed in Maryland yet.
